We could have filled in that result before the mot started! I had no idea that Gladiator down to Doorman were invincible. Anyhow it was enjoyable to play these games and hopefully I learned something to improve my games. Merry Christmas to everyone.

Probably Gladiator. I believe 31. ..., Ra4 was a mistake. Better Kf7.

31...Kf7 might have helped to keep black' s queen on the game, offering more chances to Jaume.However, white strategy would have been similar to that one in the game:
-Block the advance of the a pawn
- Maintain threats for the e pawn and the rooks on the Q-side
- Maintain the mobility of the Queen
- Attack the a pawn (three times if allowed),
- Secure the white King side by blocking the advance of the h,g pawns and keeping the white king out of checks.
 
All in all it was a tough game and like every game against Jaume, quite an adventure.

Yes indeed bk...he is really a fat cat* around here....jaume1959 a new one gaining some weight very fast as well. Advise: instead of faollowing JOIN the next tourney...is a lot of fun.

The real fat cat right now is a played called Griffo, he has just beaten me in a very impressive way. Check it on the results you will see.
