I would also like to thank Pazuzu for running the LF. This is how I saw the game continuing. 23. Kg2, Nh4+. 24.Kh3,Rxe7. 25,black lose their knight with Kxh4,but win a second pawn with 25....Bxf4. The white rook on c1 is now threatened by the bishop on f4. So, 26. Re1,then with 26....Bxe5, black have won their 3rd pawn. Three pawns in exchange for a knight is not a disaster especially with the white king on h4. Black might have been a bit hasty with the resignation. In addition , as an alternative, after white's 26Re1, black could play 26...g5+, and although not a winning move by any means, it would have white on the back foot, and who knows what would have happened.

I'm going to schedule a new game to start on August 1st. I'll stop the sign up period on July 30th and put the teams together on the 31st.

A little history of Leap Frog games.
 
Leap Frog started out as a Caissa chat room game. I would play other people a friendly game in chat and others would come into the chat room to watch. After a while everyone started ganging up on me and turned it into a everybody vs afrit(my old handle) game. After a few games it was decided to split everybody into teams and Leap Frog was born. I think it was Hel that came up with the name.
 
There was a time when LF games were going on nightly in chat, but over time people started leaving Caissa and the chat rooms emptied out so I moved the game to the BB.
 
Over the years the rules have changed very little. I used to kick people out of the game when they missed their turn and replaced them with somebody else. While that worked well in chat where there were always plenty of people, it didn't fair too well in BB games. I also used to have a Hall Of Shame where people that made really bad moves are missed their turn would be put up for some good natured ribbing by the other players, but the last few HOS threads remained 'un-ribbed' so I dropped it.
 
So basicly, Leap Frog is just a game that some online friends can get together, make a few moves and have a bit of fun.
 
Whether your a good player or not so good player, to take a LF game seriously goes against all that LF is about...

What a joke you are Gladiator, complaing about someone else's moves after making that ?? move 2. b3. MCO and Chessgames have it about the weakest move you could make.

 
 
TYhis is the kind of crap you get when you get an idiot like Gladiator for a team captain. He may have more technical knowledge of chess than me but this threat to never play another LeapFrog id someone makes a move he doeasn't like is pure bullshit...

And by all means make Gladiator a team captain so he can threaten you again...
