'Rumor has it,' that 'Wiz' is being taught by Michael Jackson, about 'moonwalking' and assorted other, 'morally neutral' odds & ends; In return for 'Wiz' instructing 'MJ,' Re. various aspects of composing classical music; Plus, the technical 'finer points' of linking up the 'Rybka' {world champion} software; So it can play games on some chess- server 'Web' site, {under an 'assumed handle'}, in 'The Great Beyond.' |

But I managed to convince him to come to this new site and the first game I lost in corres was when playing him. So I hope he is fine and will be back soon.

Reply | 15 Jul 2009, 11:36:25 In reply to Gladiator Re: Alekhine MOT Well, I won't lie to you. Here's a copy of the e-mail he sent me. I so much appreciate your note! My situation is that I had a vicious rear-ending in Memphis on June 9, 2006 which totaled my Lincoln and knocked my head all the way into a collision with the rear floorboard. It injured my back and neck, but the horrible damage was done to my right eye, which it knocked out-of-whack. I have since been to five ophthalmologists and had four operations, but everything they have done so far has just made my vision worse. Before the accodemt I had wonderful vision, including exceptional night vision, and my pilot's license. Now I cannot see out of both eyes at the same time and can see hardly at all at night. I can see out of each eye individually, but not out of both together, so I have zero depth perception. The perpetration of the accident has a known $500,000 in insurance, and I have a lawsuit in progress and hopt to get at least that much in damages. If I got 500 billion it would not be enough to compensate for what was done to me. I can't play over-the-board chess any more, as my contrast is so poor I cannot see the light pieces on the light squares nor the dark pieces on the dark squares. I can still see the light pieces on the dark squares and vice versa so, LOL, maybe I should just play checkers. Anyway, I can still see to use the computer. I have a special pair of glasses which allow me to see everything on the monitor almost as well as I used to be able to. So I can play chess using the computer monitor OK. However, my disenchantment with Caissa had nothing to do with my vision problem. When I made a suggestion to Gladiator relative to one of his tournaments, and about how one player should not be allowed to play in all Divisions of an event, he told me, in a post, the HE was running that tournament, and, in effect, to keep out of it. It left a very bad taste in my mouth (and head) and I didn;t fool with Caissa much after that, my feeling being that, when your hobby starts resulting in unpleasantness, get a new hobby! Warmest personal regards to all who signed this note! Wiz edit - Wiz sent regards to all those who signed this note but it was signed Don - afrit - pazuzu, which of course is all the same person. pazuzu Edited on 15 Jul 2009 at 11:38:20 |

About his feelings regarding Glad and the tourneys I know things will level and with the note from him perhaps this will also be in the past. Keep the pawns moving! |
