Re: Alekhine MOT
If there is no objection, I would volunteer to be the TD, and simply run the same MOT and track the results the same as my QID MOT.....as long as Gladiator or no one else objects......

Re: Alekhine MOT
Please, Express, I would be very grateful too, though, of course, it would be less interesting without Gladator. Maybe we could postpone the start a bit, and try to get him with us, at least as a player?

(AdminBrian - if you read this, please, understand that Gladiator is the one single player, who more than anybody else make it attractive to play corr at Caissa . . . Rules are rules, but some kind of respectfulness and flexibility would be appropriate, and at least, whoever is ready to orginazes a MOT, the elementary decency to answer humble requests . . .)

Re: Alekhine MOT
Safe travels, Gladiator.

I am envious of your trip.

Delaying the start is fine with me. As one of the lower rated players, the MOT’s have been good for my game. I’ve gotten back to my chess books and found some web sites that have improved my openings.

Re: Alekhine MOT
Would someone please put the move order for this tournament? I'm not sure what variation we're playing.

Thank you,
Michael

Re: Alekhine MOT
I would've thought there would be at least 3-4 moves scripted.

Re: Alekhine MOT
I've filled in the crosstable of my challenges. All of my opponents have either challenged me, or I've challenged them.

And a good question: are there 2 or 3 moves for this, or just the single opening for 1. ...

Re: Alekhine MOT
Ok, since no one suggested any move order other than 1.e4 Nf6 I started playing my 2nd moves as best I could.

Reporting results.

I'm unsure who to email but Spud and I agreed to a draw on our first game.

It wasn't a pretty game.

Re: Alekhine MOT
Sometimes it's better this way instead of playing dozens of moves before reaching the desired position. Let's be creative.

Re: Alekhine MOT
I worked out ok then - thanks guys. I was just a little surprised that it was just the first move. Not used to that in thematic tournaments.

Re: Alekhine MOT
It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight, you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes
You're paralyzed

'Cause this is Kingsfull
