Leap Frog: Lost & Found
The teams are as follows:

Team 1 Team 2

yaman 2363 SnoopDog176 2133
chessplayer 1992 SouthernComfort 2018
Kingsfull 1674 TrencherKnight 1602
ElRey 1502 grevillea 1577

Team Total 7531 7330

Since Snoopy's team has the lower team total rating they get to play white.

Yaman and Snoopy will be the team captains. Their only responsibilities are to resign the game for their team and to offer/accept/reject a draw offer. Their decision is final.

Since the weekend is coming up I'll officially start the game Monday night/Tuesday morning at 1:00 am Central time. That would be 06:00 UTC.

Of course you may move early if it's your turn.

Re: Leap Frog: Lost & Found
Notice that I added a Hold after each teams 10th move. That is to remind you that after black makes his 10th move that white will not be able to move until I can add a piece to the board. Same goes for black. The Hold will move when necessary.

The game doesn't officially start until Monday night, so he'll have until Tuesday night/Wednesday morning to make his move.

Just hypothetically, Paz,in the unlikely event that SoCo dips out, which piece would you remove from the white team as punishment.

Re: Leap Frog: Lost & Found
As the board stands now, the pawn on a2 would come off the board.

Re: Leap Frog: Lost & Found
And then each subsequent piece would be the pawns on the outer files heading inwards, and then minor pieces, etc. ?

I've got to know so as to plan ahead.

Re: Leap Frog: Lost & Found
Yes, for white the pawn will be removed starting from the A file, for black they will start from the H file, left to right for both sides. Then it'll move on to knights, then bishops, rooks and then queen.

Re: Leap Frog: Lost & Found
I have to have all the rules in place because I calculate to the 20th move or so and always have a plethora of candidate moves. The removal and additions of pieces increases my caculations exponentially which means I may have to take off from work on the days it's my turn to move.

Re: Leap Frog: Lost & Found
While everyone is doing their calculations just keep in mind that when pieces are added they will be added the same way that they are taken, left to right, but they may not always be placed in the pieces starting position. If a pawn is added then all you'll get is a 1.00 gain. If placing it in it's starting position gives a team more than 1.00 point then it will be moved up the file until it is 1 point. If there is no place on the original file then I'll find a place for it elsewhere.

This is the main reason I'm not playing in this game. My computer will be calculating the values during the game as well as creating the FEN strings I need to post the board on here.

I appologized alreay to SoCo, now I will do it publicly and explain.

I strongly urged SoSo to move because I thought the penalty Pazu had discussed THEORETICALLY had already been assessed to our team.

I was wrong... Again.

Again, SoCo,,, appologies.
and good move, Nc3. But be carefull, Yaman is known to be a slippery cusotmer!
