Is there anyone who would be interested in a live G10 Caro-Kann Tourney?

event, that I entered this proposed tourney, and went unbeaten
and untied?! {feelin' a little 'giddy,' tonight!}

Actually we are planning some new Live tournaments now that the Live Game Updates area finished. Specifically we would like to highlight the ability to choose a specific Chess Opening when making a Live Game challenge.
 
A Caro-Kann tourney would be great for that. It would be a Swiss format. We would probably schedule the tourney for a Saturday to accommodate as many players as possible. The time control would be a bit longer, perhaps G/30 or even 30/30.
 
We need 6-8 players minimum. If you are interested, post to this thread and we will start getting some input on the exact organization.

Not sure what you are referring to. This is just a thread to find out if anyone is interested in playing a live tournament. It has nothing to do with a Nimzo Indian Tournament. Anyway, let us know if you are interested in participating in a Caro-Kann live tournament.

I am interested. Prefer the 30/15.

If I'm available I will play at any time control (except g<5) :)

2. Caro-Kann defense (B1800) 1. e4 c6, as per the opening feature of the Live Games Challenge.
 
3. I propose Saturday April 19th, starting in the afternoon US time, evening Euro time. If you are in any other time zone, well, you may have to put the coffee on!
 
4. Swiss format, with 6-8 players, you will play probably 3 games throughout the afternoon/evening.
 
5. 30/15 time control.
 
That's what I have so far. It would nice to have 8 players confirmed. Come on, if you haven't signed up!

Can't play April 17-20.

I have not hard back from TrencherKnight, grevillea or Gladiator.

Count me in. Now I should point out however that my job involves 90% travel although I'm usually home (Nashville) on the weekends.

It is regrettable that Nimzozugzwang will not be able to join, as he was the initiator of this tournament, however there will be many future tournaments he can participate in.

It is actually next weekend, not this weekend, if that makes a difference.
