Board Points are the points a Team gets when it scores either
1½ or 2 points on a given Board. I list that as a W. If a
Team scores only ½ point or less in the two games on a given
Board, they get a loss (L) on that Board. If the two players
on a Board draw both games, or split the two, there is a draw
(D) listed for that Board
 
When a Team gets 2½ or more Board points in a given match,
they win that match and get a Team Point. The Wallchart
shows 1234 indicating the four Boards, until a result is
achieved. Then the result is listed as a W, L, or D. If,
say, a team wins Board 1, draws Board 2, loses Board 3, and
Board 4 is undecided, it will be listed as WDL4
 
The Chart seems complicated, but is really quite simple, once
you undertand my devious (but laudably complete) methodology!
LOL.
 
Anyway, thanks for asking this question, as I'm sure others
have wondered about it also!

Not so fast! If Glavindoorwin wins all three of its remaining games, then both the Drop Bears and Glavindoorwin will finish with 2½ Team points, but Glavindoorwin would have 7½ Board Points to 7 for the Drop Bears, so the Glavindoorwin Team would win!

This Event is coming down to an exciting finish. It appears that DualSpace, a piece up in each, will win the two games with Kingsfull. Gladiator would then have to win the game with jaume1959 in order for Glavindoorwin to win the Event. A draw would give the Tournament to the Drop Bears as they would then have 2½ Board Points and win the match with Glavindoorwin.

 this is not the default time control for corr games to be played at.
It would be nice to see some progress in these last 3 games, in the sense of throwing caution to the wind and having a go, and getting a quick result. Win or loose, 3 quick results will provide a thrilling end to an MOT, that has really gone on too long.

I agree that it has gone on too long, and that a faster time control than the Caissa Default might be in order for the next one. All the remaining games are posted on ght Glavindoorwin post, so you can see that both DualSpace games are nearly over, so the final game between
jaume1959 and Gladiator will be the key.
 
I have done the best I could to move the Event along.

perhaps a 30/30 time control with no vacation days allowed might make sense (of course since admin never resets vacation days anymore probably nobody has any anyway!)
 
But it makes sense in a team event to try and speed up play

First of all thanks to Wiz for your tournament management and your patience and good will ... Simply to learn from this experience ...
 
Following the argument of Yaman, I think that perhaps the fast pace of the tournament could be increased in a 20/20 ratio which would increase the pace of play, and obviously no vacation. It's an idea.
