Reply | 21 Dec 2010, 08:54:48   Live Tournament: Pairings are up 1-05-2011 I know the holidays are upon us so these paired matches are not required to be played until the tournament officially starts on 1-5-2011. You can start scheduling your game with your opponent now if you so wish. However, please make sure the game is scheduled on or after 1-5-2011. I will post the pairings here on the MOT bulletin board either weekly or bi-weekly, depending on how much time it takes to complete the round. I will also be messaging a pairing notice to each of the matched players. The players will then coordinate with one another to set a game time that is suitable to both parties. Please message me the scheduled game date/time so I can post it for the benefit of any observers. You will have 14 days from 1-5-11 to schedule your first match. Failure to schedule a game or respond to your opponent within 14 days will result in a forfeit. Please notify me if you are having diffuculties in contacting or arranging a date/time with your opponent. Please base your game time upon UTC time. You can convert your local time to UTC by highlighting the Date/time on the upper righthand side of the Caissa applet. The matched game will be played live and in the 30/30 time format with random colors. The scoring shall be based on a correspondence tournament crosstable with each player receiving 1 point for each opponent defeated or 1/2 point for a draw. In the event of a tie score the players with the two highest scores will play a sudden-death match. Please post any questions or comments on the MOT BB or message me. Thank you to all the participants and good luck. Hopefully, I can put these tourney's together on a monthly or bi-monthly basis(Based on the success of this one.) Perhaps the next tournament can be based upon a particular opening as well. * One player in the Intermediate class is required to have one Bye-week during the tournament. Master Class (2000+) 1. Don't be lulled into over confidence when you notice that I am ranked the lowest. This is only a result of me exclusively playing corr games since becoming a member. I am a good 10 or 15 points better than the 1350 against my name.

Please explain what does a bye-week mean in your schedule? I don't speak english fluently and I don't understand the meaning of this. Lekarka |

If a 3rd no show or no answer to your correspondence in 48hrs, I will award you a win by forfeit. I will post the standings for your game with Gladiator. Thanks.
