Reply | 10 Dec 2010, 12:20:18   Live Tournament: Please register Ok I now have quite a few players so far that are interested in playing in a 30/30 format. Class will be based on your Chess(slow) rating. I would like to get 5-10 players for each class depending on interest. Scoring will be based on a correspondence tournament crosstable with each player receiving a point for each opponent defeated or 1/2pt for a draw. In case of a tie the players with the highest score will play a sudden-death match. I will give it to 1-10-2011 to register. I hope we get some more interest. The tournament will be on your terms as to when you will play your matched opponent. You will correspond with your opponent and determine a game time to fit your schedule within 14 days of the pairing. You will message me with the agreed upon game time. I will post the game time/date so the tournament players or any Caissa member can observe the match if they wish. Please base your game time upon UTC time. You can convert your local time to UTC by highlighting the Date/time on the upper righthand side of the Caissa applet. I can extend Novice class to 10 if more members are interested or we can go with what we get. Master Class (2000+) 1. Gladiator (2331) 2. BrandonE (2757) 3. yaman (2274) 4. jaume1959 (2233) 5. power (2165) 5 spots still open Intermediate Class (1600-1999) 1. EELDROP (1646) 2. Lekarka (1749) 3. Kastelka (1788) 4. Igrupido (1600) 5. Comrade (1600) 5 spots still open Novice Class (0-1599) 1. Grim (1415) 2. Cuch (1402) 3. Spud (1418) 4. ehoppy (1443) 5. Kingsfull (1473) 6. thornydevil (1350) 4 spots still open Edited on 21 Dec 2010 at 07:10:45 |

Reply | 10 Dec 2010, 14:12:20 In reply to Spud Re: Live Tournament: Please register I'm confident both you and your opponent can work out a time to play based on your respective schedules. You will have 14 days to schedule a match with your paired opponent. I'm sure you can, given the time frame, be able to agree upon a time that is best for both parties. If you cannot agree upon a date/time within a two week period but say your opponent and yourself agree on a time 3 weeks from the pairing just let me know, but I'd like to stay within a reasonable amount of time to complete the tournament. Thanks

Reply | 20 Dec 2010, 04:22:26 In reply to lgrupido Re: Live Tournament: Please register Your rating was 1584 Igrupido, but in order to get a full roster I upped your rating 16 points and placed you in the Intermediate class (1600-1999). Please let me know if this is agreeable with you. I can place you in the Novice class if you so wish, but you were only 16pts away and as it is now I'd just like to fill all 3 classes so this tournament can be played. I still need 1 or 2 Intermediate ranked players. If anyone knows any members that might like to play in a live tournament, please pass along the word. I'd like to take the time now to thank all of you that have joined so far and also to convey my best wishes for you and your families to have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year! |
