Re: LIVE TOURNAMENT G15/G30 - GROUP A (UPPER 1800) - COMMENTS AND GAMES -
I was just looking in the chat room and not everyone was certain about the rules.Don't know why..they must have missed Jaume1959's first post.
Which stated
We have 1 month to complete our games.
All games are arranged by mutual consent over the time and day.
Each player plays the other players in their category ,twice. Once as white , once as black.
The white player contacts the black player by message, to begin the negotiations.
All games can be played on the first day, or spread over the month.

Re: LIVE TOURNAMENT G15/G30 - GROUP A (UPPER 1800) - COMMENTS AND GAMES -
I copy the rules:

LIVE TOURNAMEN

I would like to organize, starting from the good experience of the NOVA tournament proposed by Wiz, a tournament live G/15 or G/30. The rules are:

1. The Tournament will star 15 May and will finish 15 Juin.

2. We have three categories

A. 1800 < Higher
B. Lower < 1800

2. During this month each competitor plays two games with the other ones: one with white, another with black

3. Through message we challenge and come to an agreement in relation to:

3.1. Game mode: G/15 or G/30
3.2. Date and hour to play

The player that sends the message is the one that plays with white

4. I will create two topics for each category:

- One with the crosstable where you will communicate only the results
- One to put games and to make comments.

I have had this problem with live also. I am unnable to solve the problem but, this is what I do when I suspect a problem.

I wait 2 of MY CLOCK minutes if there is no move from opponent then I reload or refresh (whatever) then I go to watch games and click on our game. The mystery missing move will be shown and in more that one instance I have saved the game.

NO !! I didn't say won the game. LOL

Annoying? You betcha but it can be worked around.

The bad side is that the opponent clock will recapture all lost time, I think but am not really positive of this fact.

A suggestion for the time control problem. Play all games at the 30/60 time control, and then in the case of a glitch, you will have time to follow the Raptor solution.
