LIVE TOURNAMEN
 
I would like to organize, starting from the good experience of the NOVA tournament proposed by Wiz, a tournament live G/15 or G/30. The rules are:
 
1. The Tournament will star 15 May and will finish 15 Juin.

2. We have three categories
 
A. 1900 < Higher
B. 1600 - 1899
C Lower < 1599

2. During this month each competitor plays two games with the other ones: one with white, another with black
 
3. Through message we challenge and come to an agreement in relation to:

3.1. Game mode: G/15 or G/30
3.2. Date and hour to play
 
The player that sends the message is the one that plays with white
 
4. I will create two topics for each category:
 
- One with the crosstable where you will communicate only the results
- One to put games and to make comments.
 
Obviously the categories and term of time can modify according to the number of competitors.
 
I apologize because my English is not very good. Anyway I hope the content of this topic can be understandable.

I wish to enter. I chose this name because my name is Barton and I wanted to be associated with a great Grandmaster, so Bartvinnik was the best I could do! (Bartakover and Bartrosian were in the running to the end!).

I would like to have my name placed on the entry list, but I think it is more than a little overly-optimistic to think you are going to get enough entries for more than one section, and even one is going to be hard enough to come by. In the old days, at the Caissa Classic Site, we used to be able to organize live events with large numbers of entries, but, for some reason, which I cannot explain, it is very difficult to get entries in live events here. I think Caissa has a lot more members than it did in the old days, so you would think large numbers of entrants would be easier to come by, but not so.

Well, as I have commented in my post, we can re-organize categories and time if it is necessary. I'm sure that we can have enough players at least to play one category! Finally the idea is to have the oportunity to play chess live between us. Sincerely, I would like to count with you.

I have a friend who is ill with cancer and I messaged jaume to request a drop and instead he replied with a flippant message about reading the schedule. SO I AM REQUESTING IN PUBLIC YOU DROP ME FROM TOURNEY.

well the message you posted here seemed to indicate that you would only be unavailable this weekend (at least that is how I read it).I am guessing that Jaume was simply trying to say that missing a weekend is no reason to drop out.
