Although there is still one game to be completed in NOVA 2010 as I post
this, the score of three Team Points by Power Outage cannot be equalled,
so Power Outage wins NOVA 2010! Congratulations to Power Outage and to
its four Team Member.
 
I want to thank all the participants for playing in this event, and for
getting the games in with no controversies, one Forfeit, and one Double
Forfeit. I am sure that this is the lowest number of Forfeits, and the lowest per centage
of Forfeits in NOVA history. I was very pleased with
the way the method of selecting the Teams turned out, as we had
extremely even match-ups and very balanced Teams. Four of the five
Teams were in it until the very end.
 
If I am still around for the next NOVA (after all, I will be 83 in July)
I hope we can have as good a NOVA as this one has been, but with a lot
more participants!
 
As soon as that last game has been played, I will post the complete
final results, including scores on each Board.

Thanks Wiz for doing a great job. As for the 83 thing I am not far behind you. 67 next month. I think WE will still be here for the next NOVA.

Thanks to all and specially to you Wizz to have tha wisdom and patience to organize, deal with, chase, write to, mail to all the players in a very balanced and fair way.
 
I feel very proud and lucky of our team: lgrupido, Southern Comfort, and of course our captain and not very well versed but great player Power....since I enjoy so much playing slow chess now I will thank this tourney for forcing me in a way to do something I always avoided with the excuse (perhaps laziness) of not having the patience to play anything else but g1 or g2 games...

Well done Wizard No1. That was a great competition. Congrats to Power Outage, too, even though their victory is damaged by Blade's unsporting tactic of challenging me 15 minutes earlier than scheduled, leaving me no time to get the kettle boiled. You can't play at your best without a cup of coffee.Now that this scandal has come to light,[ you can also see it on 60 minutes, panorama, the today show and on magazine covers], will Power outage do the decent thing and send all the losers a box of Australian wine?

.....Hmmmm...perhaps a nice chianti* ( á la Hannibal Lecter) would be more suitable!?...C.O.D., of course....!

I will be sure that Juan Valdez is on your Team next time/

Thank you Wiz for this wonderful tourney, and thank you Gladiator for pushing me in.
It was a great fun to play and watch all these games. I had, like almost everybody else, many sleepless nights, what If’s, why not’s, why me, but I wouldn’t trade any of them if the price is a…lobotomy.
