Kept advancing and just hoped that corner might, just might, fall open. I was truly lucky and have DOORMAN to thank for the instructions in his games that i watched. |

I got booted offline and had trouble getting back right away so I gave up. Today was a ton of NOVA fun for me. I played in a good game and then watched another with kastelka. We were yelling out what to do, and it was a lot of fun. And that Charlie Brown is what NOVA is all about. --SoCo Edited on 1 Mar 2010 at 01:24:22 |

Reply | 11 Mar 2010, 14:47:20   Re: THE CORNER OF KAFKA BOYS (EX HOME JAUMES) Seeing good moves is really easy.......well. It does seem like that as a spectator. However, when your ass in on the line and all you can think about is 'what next' and 'tic tock - tic tock - tic tock' while the clock is running it is a much different story. I find, in my own case, that tournaments are stressful and probably bad for my heart. Even today I am still playing the DOORMAN game in a 'WHAT IF' mode. I can't win this game because I am down material and under a killer attack. WHAT IF I just stall and make nonsense moves and just hope. WHAT IF he backed off the attack and started fresh with a new plan in a different direction.. WHAT IF he never took the rook of the back rank. WHAT IF WHAT IF WHAT IF WHAT IF. I almost lost on time because I actually had to go outside and breath some air and try to slow down my heart rate. I came back in and saw the clock was down to under 2 minutes with more that a few moves needed to make the time. That damn information sure didn't help. LOL. It seems that this would be a good answer of why people shouldn't use machines to aid their chess game. Sitting back and mechanically reacting to the moves a non thinking machine tells you surly can not give the same feelings. Oh well, I do love the game but blood chess is way above my ability. |

I played like a bloody nervous wreck!! 1 win from 3 isnt acceptable and i apologise. Its been a learning curve for me being my first but id hoped to do a little better. One thing i would like to mention is, how bloody bloody lovely it is when a simple game can get you communicating with so many absolutely superb people. Win or lose, you are awesome Caissa crew. Well, apart from that russian paeodofile chap. He's a w##ker!!!! Sorry Kafka Boys. |
