A bit like your famous general Patton. George C. Scott was one of the most amazing actors of all time.

My avatar, Ming The Merciless, Emperor Of Mongo, actually looks nothing whatsoever like me. Charles Middleton, the actor who played Ming had a lot of minor Hollywood roles, but never anything like Ming. It is the one role with which he will always be associated.
I never thought the writers made Ming quite, "merciless" enough and I wrote a segment which I would have loved to have seen incorporated into one of the episodes of one of the serials. It goes like this:

A palace guard escorts a cute boy of about 10 and his sister of about 6 in before Ming, sitting on his throne. The guard says, "Your Highness, these two were caught picking this flower in the Emperor's Private Gardens (the boy is holding a little rose). Ming says, harshly, "Picking a flower in my Private Gardens! Picking a flower in my Private Gardens!" The boy and girl prostrate themselves before Ming and the boy says, "Your Highness, Your Highness, we thought they were public gardens, we thought they were public gardens." Ming says, "so you thought they were mere public gardens, you thought they were mere public gardens! Well....twenty years of CLAY might teach you the difference" And the two are instantly converted to Clay People, the fate Ming had in store for many of his enemies.

Folks who didn'thate Ming enough already would do so after this incident. LOL.
