I noticed that the last MOT was started back in December, and since I'm new to Caissa and couldn't play in it I thought I would see if anyone was interested in another one. The QID is a favorite of Kasparov, and as a big fan of his, I like to play it as well. Unfortunately many lines of it are very "drawish", one that is not though has been employed by Polugaevsky: After 4…Bb7 5.Bg2 Be7 6.0-0 0-0 7.d5!? exd5.
I have played this line a few times myself, and it leads to very interesting play by both sides. The rules would be the same as the Spanish MOT Gladiator employed, and the start date would be 2 weeks from today, 3/15. Please message me or reply here if you would be interested in playing! It has come to my attention that the MOT currently running(Spanish MOT) is still running quite a few games? If so, I have no problem pushing back the start date of this one to accomodate those still playing. Maybe 3-31 as a start date. I will take any input from those interested. Thanks!

I may play if we start the 31st. Even if I don't know much about this opening,it will be good to play another Polu variation (8 Nh4!). You should ask AdminBrian to send a message regarding your tourney to ALL MEMBERS and I am sure you will get a lot of the top players (Yaman , Soto2 or bgh,for example)

He told me if I can get this one up and running myself, then he would do that next time I set up a tourney. So far not looking too bad, got 7 players I believe with 2 weeks left.
