BB Leap Frog Tour
OK, I'm willing to give this a try. If you are interested in playing then reply to this thread.

For those who don't know what Leap Frog is:

Leap Frog is a Team game where each player on the teams take turns making the moves. Generally, each player will get three moves, with one exception, and then the next player will move. The lineup would look something like this:

White Black

1) Player1 Player1
2) Player1 Player1
3) Player2 Player1 (white lineup-the exception I mentioned above)
4) Player2 Player2
5) Player2 Player2
6) Player3 Player2
7) Player3 Player3
8) Player3 Player3
9) Player1 Player3
10)Player1 Player1
11)Player1 Player1

The rules are simple. You get 24 hours to make a move. If you miss your move then the game continues on with the next player on the team and you don't get to move again until your next set of moves comes around. The 24 hour period will be from 1:00am to 1:00am Central Time. It used to be from midnight to midnight but my work schedule interferes with that.

You don't have to wait until the 24 hours are up to move. Keep in mind that your opponent will get the reminder of your time plus his/her 24 hour time period if you do happen to move early.

Anybody can play. The teams will be put together from the highest rated player to the lowest. I'll try as hard as I can to get the teams as evenly matched as I can. Most likely I'll use corr ratings to put the teams together.

I'll be making all the moves on the board, so all everybody needs to do is tell me what their move is and I'll update the board as soon as I can. If it's your turn you don't have to wait until the board is updated to make a move.

The most important rule in Leap Frog is to have fun.

If you have any questions you can post them here too.

It's back on again. The game will start when we get enough players, at least 8 or more.

Re: BB Leap Frog Tour
The 3 player teams is just an example of how the game is run. It was a lot shorter than showing 4 or more.

We now have enough players to start the game. I'll give people one more day to sign up. Then I'll put the teams together and the game will start Wednesday night/Thursday morning at 1:00 am CDT

1:00am CDT is 6:00 UTC...

Re: BB Leap Frog Tour
Below are the teams and their ratings. Team 1 has an 85 rating point advantage so Team 2 gets to play white.

Team 1
Gladiator 2699
yaman 2364
SouthernComfort 1916
TrencherKnight 1650

Team 1 total: 8629

Team 2
WizardNo1 2391
pazuzu 2263
power 2158
grevillea 1732

Team 2 total: 8544

I will send all players a message informing them the game is starting, after that everyone is on their own. Is is the players responsibility to keep track of where the game is and if it's their turn and how much time they have left to move.

The game doesn't officially start until 1:00 am Thursday morning, but if it is your turn to move and don't want to wait you may make your moves early.

Caissa is telling me there is no member called grevillea when I try to mail him.

Hopefully he'll check in before it's his turn.

Att. All "Leapfrog Players": If per chance "SouthernComfort" is on your 'team'; be 'on-guard' when he "Leap-Frogs" you, from behind! ..Knowing his proclivities, it might negatively affect you, for the rest of your 'Life'!!

His other handle is likelymoor, I think.

Thanks Gladiator, but there isn't a likelymoor in the member directory.

Re: BB Leap Frog Tour
Hi Pazuzu, You will have difficulty sending me a message, using my handle of grevillea. This is because, on the old caissa, I changed my handle to likelymoor, but I was not able to make the same change on the new caissa. So I unintentionally ended up with two handles. You can send me a message via likelymoor at classic caissa, but honestly, it is not necessary as I am reading all the leap frog posts, and looking forward to the tournament. regards, grevillea ps. I will send you a message, so that in emergencies, you can message me , using the reply function.

All you need to do is post your move. I have to update the board myself.
