Taken as written, I would say that this is quite a prejudice statement. Even if joking, and I truly hope you are.

Never-the-less, if we are to base this on prejudicy which I very much did not intend to... Hillary does look quite white to me. Thus I'm not even sure the logic of your statement is remotely sound, though I suppose I should not be surprised about that.

Further, if people vote for those who look like them; then wouldn't people stay away from McCain based on his age and the average person's persistent fear of their own aging process?

Cheers

Interestingly enough...

No one has attempted to answer my very direct question yet. I wonder why?

Here it is again...

Will Obama secure the presidancy without Hillary or does he need her influence to defeat McCain?

This was the question at the start of this post and it's the question now.

Re: Congrats Obama
I'd be surprised if Obama picked Clinton as VP. His best bet is to go for an older white male. Clinton does not deserve to be rewarded for the selfish, win at any cost campaign ,that she has indulged in, at some cost to the Democrats. The writing was on the wall for her a few months ago.She should have stepped aside then.Once she formally withdraws , then the spotlight will go on McCain, and he will be revealed for what he is; Bush mark 2. I think America wil not like what they see in McCain, and Obama will have an easy win. Obama can win this by himself..so whoever the Vp will be, is irrelevant.Won't be Clinton.

No. He does not need Hillary to be on the ticket with him to win the White House, but if she would have fought until the convention I don't believe there would be any way for him to win. He just needs her to come out and say she supports him. Everyone will appluade, and she will take her seat in the back.

I feel sorry for her. I think she really enjoyed campaigning. She was a part of presidential history on so many fronts, and now she be riding in the back seat for a long time.

I personally believe that Obama cannot beat McCain without Clinton. Course, that would set the stage for what I have repeatedly stated is coming upon America in the next few years. Especially if Clinton was bent on being President no matter the cost.

So if McCain wins ,your prophecy won't come true? That's a good reason to vote for McCain. Vote for McCain=maniacal war monger save the world. Or vote for Obama/Clinton=liberal, pathetic, pacifist end of world.

Re: Congrats Obama
.. I Did include a "shame" icon, as my figurative 'bone' to All those who were offended by my "foul-coon," reference! -- I suspect though, that Much of the controversy..{"DOORMAN" & "grevillea"}, is due to your probable mistaken impression, that I 'borrowed' a racist term, because I {personally} took exception, to B. Obama's skin color; and-or, the fact that his father {who decided to {apparently} abandon his son, Barack.. sp?, early on, is typical of most black fathers; the latter, a charge of which I don't know what the statistics are{?!}.

.. In Either case, 'B. Obama' is obviously Not to blame! -- Though I do find Some fault with 'Obama' for suspiciously claiming that he {Barack} "did Not know" the width and depth of his pastor's & "mentor," 'Rev. Wright's, Own brand of anti-'white' racism!

.. Mainly, in that sense, do I find 'Obama,' to Not be the 'charmed' character, that so many others, seem to think he is{!?} Secondarily, you could add to that, {'imho'}, a number of his traditionally liberal-views, where the federal gov't is the {by, default}, everyone's virtual 'nanny,' and-or, busy-body.

.. My 'faint-praise' for the "old coot" McCain; oddly, No one accused me of being an 'ageist', {which to some degree, I am!}, is that I regard him, {McCain} as being the proverbial, "Lesser, of-two-evils"!

.. His distinguished military service, not withstanding; a former long-term military {almost} careerist.. is, Next to, Obama.. "The Last 'Thing' our country needs", in a president!!; once again, 'imho.' {Finally, getting around to "Telling-it, Like-it-Is"! ..excuse, the delay}. .. 'Trolling, for the Truth.'

Regarding "Ageist" I take it you ignored my post altogether?

Now I'm really confused. When my wife died her relatives tried everything they could think of including illegal actions to get her husband (myself) out of the estate. Am I to be at fault because I did not realize how absolutely money hungry they would be? A person's character is that person's responsibility, no one else's.

Re: Congrats Obama
'IBIJ,' said: "A person's character is that person's responsibility; no one elses." -- For the Most part, I would have to agree to this statement;
.. Provided, that they, #1. Didn't compliment & mention their pastor, {in question} in laudatory terms, by referring to him as their "mentor" and "spiritual-guide," in their auto-biography. #2. Were not running for president. #3. Was not a 'faithful member' of a church for, by their own admission, "20 years"; including, presumed.. more regular than not, attendee/'pew-sitter,' through those many years of Rev. Wright's 'sermons,' and undoubted, political & anti-white establishment, rants.. {presided over, most.. or all of that time, by Rev. Wright}, while claiming ignorance, after their pastor {and 'mentor's'} long-term philosophy came 'to light'; that they didn't really 'know him,' and-or, misjudged his character.

.. Incidentally, it's 'public-record' {so-to-speak}, that Oprah Winfrey; {Obama's most high-profile 'celeb' supporter}, had left that same church, about 8 years earlier; because she reportedly found Rev. Wright's sermons, 'too divisive,' for her tastes. {I guess that makes 'Oprah,' a better judge of another {presumably, influential}, person's character, than Barack!?}; perhaps on that basis, Oprah W. should be 'running'.. and Not Barack!?

.. Being a judge of another person's character, {if Not, in a fully literal sense}, and especially, one whom they've gone on-the-record, as being their {long-term} "mentor," is Not an attribute to be lightly dismissed; especially, when one is running for the nation's highest office!
.. If the same set of circumstances, had applied to some hypothetical 'southern' 'white'-candidate, running for 'Prez'; and they publicly had named {in one forum, or another} another 'white' person as their "mentor," who had been a Not-so-secretive white-racist, over a number of years; do you, 'IBIJ,' seriously think, that the fact, that since the hypothetical 'white' candidate, running for president, was Not responsible, for his.. by now, former "mentor"'s ill-conceived actions,
that that should somehow, Not enter in to this man's own qualifications for the prsidency?! {rhetorical}

.. If nothing else, think of all the powerful presidential appointments, {"cabinet" members, coming right after the 'V.P.'}, where correctly gauging another nominee's character; though admittedly, Not a guaranteed, fault-free process; is Not, on the other hand, a quality, Re. assessment of someone else; to be taken lightly! {fini}

Re: Congrats Obama
Hi Hmmmm

I'm pleased to see that you have never been let down by a once trusted confident. Unfortunately, that is much more the exception than the rule. I sat under the headship of my own head pastor for 10 years not realizing that his take on being about to worship on whatever day we chose was not biblically based.

Time and again he would say from the pulpit not to believe him but to seek out Scripture. Having done so I questioned him about keeping the Sabbath.

First, he said... ahhhh, you must be studying with Adventist... you need to stop.

STRIKE ONE

Second, he took me to the verse in Colossians that taught about new moons, festivals, and Sabbath days. This Scripture clearly is not talking specifically about the 7th day Sabbath.

STRIKE TWO

Then he had no further response.

STRIKE THREE

And this from a man that I once considered my spiritual mentor. What is the moral of this story? Hold man suspect while always following God through His Holy Spirit guidance which will never contradict His clear Word.

Happy Sabbath

Thank you for explaining your position.
I did'nt really think you were a raceist bastard. I can understand your reluctance to support someone who associated with a left wing wacko christain pastor, for 20 years. To me thats almost as bad as associateing with a right wing wacko christain pastor. I always kinda liked Mccain . But not enough to vote for him . In my eyes we have to get the rupubs out of control for awhile. At any cost.

Even at the cost of losing the concept of Presidenacy altogether?

Revelation 13:13-15
13And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. 14Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

I won't take the time to unfold how the first beast is the USA and the second the Pope just yet; rather I'll see what comes back from the above passage to start with.

I'm guessing you were really bad at solving the Scooby Doo mysteries as well. Maybe you should try the games and puzzles on the back of the cereal boxes. Be careful though, cereal boxes have lots of facts on them that you can't find in the bible, like riboflavin daily allowances.

Indeed, dying from a lack of folic acid intake is more likely to occur than your ridiculous doomsday scenarios.

Be well false prophet.
