presidential election....
ten days away. What a fine, civil group we have here. The muddy world of politics does not dim the light of Caissa! Is there ONE person here whose opinion would be changed as to who to vote for? A well reasoned argument, based on facts, would persuade who? Are we all victims of our own prejudices and upbringing?

Re: presidential election....
Trump is the suckiest president that ever sucked, and the emergence of his influential VP is worrisome considering he thinks the world began 10 thousand years ago.

Trump's hero Vlad Putin has shown his mentor how hacking Emails can help win elections. Next he will show him how to use his position for other fun benefits.

Re: presidential election....
Putin lies to his people but he doesn't fear the press because they fear him. Trump lies but journalists don't fear him yet. The solution: continue being inaccurate and call it alternative truth. When the press holds him to account he will claim the biased liberal press is after him. He will then "black ball" journalists at his discretion.

Blumkin Boy is getting the job done. Kim Jong-in is looking pretty reasonable in comparison.

Our liar in chief didn't get his way on trump care. Being the vindictive child that he has shown himself to be, he will do everything he can to hurt universal health care rather than being a leader and try improving the system for everyone.

Re: presidential election....
Another reason Trump doesn't want Universal Health Care. The unlucky insured who must go to the hospital get a hospital bill they cannot pay. That bill is sent to a collection agency. Through time the interest and fees and wage garnishment will be overwhelming. In Trump's mind he is propping up a multi billion dollar industry and creating indentured servants. Win-Win.

Re: presidential election....
My 2 millennium sons are very upset and discouraged and very pessimistic about our new President. I wish somebody would explain 3 things . 1) If Trump was elected was not his fault actually He demonstrated a fantastic ability to win over Governors ,senators, professional politician and Hillary. He knew how to play the field and He said what people wanted to hear .He was a brilliant salesman. If He won was because the PEOPLE wanted Him.2) If the Russian interfered with the election how come Hillary got three more million votes .3) Hillari had a terrible record and the people pay attention and voted accordingly. My point is do not blame President Trump but BLAME us the voters. Finally some famous writer said and I quote : WE DESERVE THE GOVERNMENT THAT WE HAVE !!!!!!!!!

Re: presidential election....
I don't agree that WE deserve the government we got. There are a lot of foolish people that vote for emotional reasons or other reasons without really following the politics or examining the ramifications of their choice and vote. Clearly, the Clinton brand has long run it's course and there are plenty of reasons not to trust Hillary. That said, I think she greatly underestimated Trump and thought she would pick-up the minority vote and the women's vote and everything would go her way, but Trump clobbered her in the rural areas all across the country so that a major city win for her was nullified by several rural areas which voted for him. I don't think the Russian interference if there truly was one has much to do with it. Voters in my view were not left with a very good choice either way. I think the country would greatly benefit from new blood in both houses in both parties but it is truly difficult to beat the incumbents who can raise a lot of money to finance their re-elections. Term limits for both houses should be considered so that we can perhaps get past gridlock and get things done for the Country.

Also what makes us look like fools is the Electoral College. Even Russia was able to exploit our democracy.

Re: presidential election....
The electoral college is a bad system. You should do like in my country when the candidate gets most votes gets elected. Simple. Not normal Trump is president with 3 million less votes.

Re: presidential election....
The electoral college was supposed to protect the country from a large population of morons that are to dumb to be allowed to decide who controls our government. It failed.

Re: presidential election....
No not really but the crime has gone up a lot there according to a friend of mine and the economic situation is not good either. I guess I was just shooting my mouth off and venting my frustration like everybody else.
