.. Not quite as ridiculous {mind you}, as the 'US' Federal Reserve, in recent years; Buying up, its' own 'T-bill' certificates; In lieu of, any other 'customers' being motivated..{eg. other country's central banks}.
 
In any event -- Many years ago; What to do with live household insects & spiders, was one of the issues which led to, then 'model', Cindy Crawford, divorcing, 'hubby'/devout Bhudist, R. Gere. -- Quoting 'Cindy'.. & remembered, all these years -- "Richard gets upset at me, whenever I kill a bug, in our house. But I just can't help myself. Everytime I see a spider; I just want to smash it."
