I tried getting to the New Site on three different computers and each time was unable to load the Applet. Then I went to the CaissaClassic Site and that is what I am on now. Is anybody else having this problem?
Actually, it was a serendipitous happening, since I found a message from TheShaman on this old Site and he tells me he is returning! It will be great to have him back!
 
I have found that I can still sign on to the New Site if I use the Non-Java mode, so I can at least make my moves in my correspondence games.
Since so many of us are having this problem, and since it began at about the same time, it must be a Caissa glitch. I wish we had someone tending the Site, so we could inform them of the problem.

We're looking in to this. If you are just playing corr games, you can choose the non-Java option when logging on.

I just loged on using NON java. I have tried several javas interface and none seem to work. I guess we just have to wait ans see.
 
Maybe while they are at it they will put in a filter for game challenges.
 
I just thought of this: If we can't log in using the "normal" java how could people read Brian's post??

Thanks, to my 'Non-Java' option; I was able to post this, after many failed, 'Java' attempts!? .. My first {repeating} indication, that something is 'W-R-O-N-G'.. and Only involves an infinite 'wait'; With recent 'Java' log-on attempts; Is the curious message: "Connecting to Port 5000."--
 
Ps. 'Non-Java,' I take it; Means 'correspondence chess' only. If, it's one thing, I can do without; It's a virtual 'Open-Book' exam; For the first 18-to-25 {conventional chess}, moves! ... Yes, I have 'M.C.O' too! --

My Java access is working fine now (very early Sat. mornng, Nov. 20). I hope everyone else's is as well. It was so good to see a post from AdminBrian!
