My frustration with the nonesense people can pull on this site in live games has reached its zenith.The latest clod ( Martinseu (ssp) or some such cretin really pulled a cool one tonight,I'm done-thanks to all the nice people I have met here over the years and I wish you all well

I don't know exactly what happened in the game of which you speak, but I can understand your frustration, as I have frequently, "lost" games in which my opponent's time expired, and the subsequent graphic said that I had won, but the game was scored by Caissa as a loss for me.
 
I hope you will reconsider and stay, as you are not only one of the best players on this Site, but also one of the finest gentlemen here!
We have had some memorable games, especially that draw we had some years ago which went on for about six hours and encompassed almost 200 moves!

You're Right! ..Despite the phrase: "People {or 'Caissa' members}, come; And people go"; I felt a 'great void,' for 7 weeks; After 'IBIJ' {see his pic, below}, called it 'quits' here; Over 2 years ago! --

Perhaps if we all followed yaman's example and moved off to eg FICS or chess.com, then finally the admins would show any interest in our complaints.
 
I also have "lost" games when my opponent's time ticked away, only to find out afterward it was my time after all...
 
Reporting the incident resulted only in a deafening silence.

Perhaps you were Still intended, to 'mentor' annonymous chessplayers, & vice-versa, by playing online!?; But, there's Only One 'freakin' Web destination, where you get to earn 'cubits'! {see below}. ..Ie. An essentially meaningless, form-of-exchange, that U pay 'Real {credit-card}, money for!; But, otherwise.. Their 'working'-rule' is: No Pay, {and-or, get more 'cubits' by 'beating' others}; Then, No Play!
 
Ps. The ability to see what moves you just made, {without constantly 'refreshing'}; Will cost U extra! ..{True} --.. Yet.. their online player count, {depending on the hour-of-the-day, or nite}; Ranges from .. 1400-to-3400! .. Go figure!? - ..Did I mention, their {Web} site's; Automatic-'rematch,' option?! --
