I'm referring to Afghanistan; Or 'Afghananam', {for those who can't resist the long-since discredited, Vietnam war 'quagmire' analogy}.
 
In any event; In most wars throughout history; A 'four-to-one' enemy kill ratio, in our favor; Would be considered, either a 'success'; Or approaching that. But 'imho'; I don't think that that summation, holds up, here!
Two 'strikes' {as it were}, count against us. #1. We're perceived, by almost All 'locals' there, as the 'outsiders'; Regardless, of whether they view us, as 'goodies,' 'baddies' or even somewhere in-between!
-- #2. In Afghanistan & neighboring Pakistan; Life, and its 'partner,' 'Death' {where the average lifespan is about 45-50}; Is viewed more stoically; As in: "So what else is new?"
 
--#3. The 'Taliban,' {a loosely used phrase; If convenient!}; Being 'homegrown' as it were; Can field one irregular soldier, for a pittance of money, compared to us; Who come from literally half-a-world away. And for better or worse; Our ability to kill, appreciably More of them, than vice-versa; Comes at a signifigant co$t disadvantage!; Not to mention, our Western {greed} culture oriented; 'Co$t Overruns'!
 
In so many words; And All things con$idered; Might it Not be preferable, to 'pull-up-$takes' {ours}, Now!; Rather than let, our Not-so 'democratic process' act on our domestic mi$givings, {including, most importantly; lost & maimed American lives}; Let's say, 2-to-5 years, 'down-the-road'?! ..{rhetorical}.
- Actually; There's Much More to these incessant 'wars' than 'meets-the-eye'; Including, {no joke}, 'War' and 'Peace' factions, in the top echelons, of our 'US' Gov't; Where regretfully; The foremost interests, of the average working, American citizen; Quite often, Fall-by-the-wayside'!?
 
But, if you're curiousity, has been sparked; Although, it's an awful lot of info. to take in, {see ending 'link'}; I believe, that the saying here, applies; About, 'Truth oftentimes, being stranger, than fiction"! .. In so many words; If you think that 'Obama' is 'No, Bush'; When it comes to matters of War-and-Peace; I've recently come to believe; That Both men, have far more in common!; As All {virtual} 'puppets' {controlled by 'behind-the-scenes,' military-indu$trial interest$}, have been; Since {Pres.} 'LBJ's, woeful Vietnam 'adventure'! --

Discredited? Both wars were started for bullshit reasons. And we thought we were doing both countries a favor. Both countries had totally corrupt governments. And the end result will be bullshit in both cases.
