What goes on Pizza
Everybody has been really nice and patient with me as far as food questions, (how best to prepare livers and gizzards). Now I have a very interesting question about Pizza. Pizza has always been good, but I never thought it could get better!! I used to be a driver for Enterprise Rent A Car, and they would treat the drivers with Pizza now and then. The thing is the Pizza was the best I had ever tasted, and it was all on account of the toppings. They ordered with bacon, ham, olives, peppers and then the usual mix of mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni, or hamburg. What I found out was that you had to have the bacon and the ham, because it created a really unique taste that literally made the whole PIZZA EXPERIENCE. I couldnt believe what I was TASTEING/ENJOYING. What I would like to know from community is if there is something in the way of toppings that really blows them away as far as taste. What might it be!!!????

Re: What goes on Pizza
I experimented one time with peanut butter and jelly for a desert pizza. The peanut butter melted and mixed with jelly and it was very nice.

After several attempts I found that a thin crust seemed to work best.

Cheeseburger Pizza

Get one of those Chef Boy-r-d pizza kits, make the crust, brown ground beef and some assorted veggies, (mushrooms, onions, red/green peppers, whatever you like) then pour in the tomato sauce they give you and make sort of a sloppy joe out of it. Spread it on the crust, cover it with shredded cheese, I use 3 kinds, mild cheddar, mozzarella and the packet they give you, bake it for about 30 mins @ 400.

It's really good.

Re: What goes on Pizza
Since, 'blown away' can have both positive & negative connotations; I came up with a hypothetical pizza topping, {all 'foods' considered 'edible' in places perhaps, like southern Algeria.. among other locations}; But out of consideration for others eating sensitivities; That's as far as I'll elaborate. --

Re: What goes on Pizza
Well, lets try the pizza again. I make my own dough. (Bread machine.) Create your own sauce w/ a can of tomato paste and some V8 mix w/ garlic (fresh or chopped from jar.... add hot peppers to taste w/ oregano parsley, and basil. touch of fresh ground prepper. On top .... fresh onion, peppers and mozerrala cheese. If one like artichokes....OK! If you are really into it add fresh grated parm, cheeses or asiagio (sp)cheese to the sauce. One will not be disappinted .... Bake (preheated) at 425 for 20 min..... check it and if one likes it crisp.... another 5 min.at a higher temp. Try your favorite veggiies on top. Zukes are in season

Re: What goes on Pizza
Fresh dough brushed with olive oil, slices of tomatoes, and fresh grated parmesian cheese. More of a bruschetta, but in the pizza family.
