2 Major Things We Tend to Take for Granted
Imho; That would be our sense of hearing, and vision.

I have above average hearing {esp. for my 59 yrs.}; And the other day, I was reading @ the local library; The door to the outside was open.. And I overheard one out-of-view woman, apparently talking to another person {perhaps on a cellphone}, about the weather.

No 'big deal' as I related it. Unless one considers that the air molecules were vibrating, in sync with this person's speech; And obviously, the brain of the 'hearer' takes those vibrating air molecules, from some distance away, {even if the speaker is out of ones own sight};
And somehow converts 'it' {the vibrating molecules} back to an electrical impulse, to our brains; Which then in turn, somehow converts those 'impulses'/electric wave patterns, into words we're likely to understand!
- Anotherwords, Not such a mundane process, when one considers it!

The sense of vision, is somewhat different; In the sense that every animate or inaminate object we see; Is reflecting back to us, the same electrical-based info. of which form a given object{s} takes.

The fact that I've only addressed two of the 5 {human} senses, {and some would add in the 6th sense}; Plus, they all {or most all}, seem to work simultaneously, leads to further general amazement, I would think. And all the more so, I'd suppose; If one surmises, that this all came about, by a long series of incredibly fortunate 'Chance'->{keyword}, occurences! --

Ps.- "The Life unexamined, is Not worth living." {Socrates?, Plato? .. One of those dudes!}.
