Reply | 14 May 2010, 07:31:48   It's happening again! Thanks to Spud, I have discovered that I have been entered in two more correspondence tournaments that I never entered myself. Spud discovered my name on the entry lists of these two events, which had not completed. One was an M tournament and one was an O Chess 960 event. I was able to withdraw from both events, but there is no telling how many other tournaments I have been entered in without my knowledge. Am I the only one being victimized like this? If..and it's a big "if".....this means that the security of members' details has been compromised, what are the implications for the security of other details held by Mediawest ?....I asked this in an email to Admin a week ago and am yet to receive a reply, hence this public posting. (I suggest that the implications for Mediawest would be a bit clearer....in my experience, any on-line company that doesn't protect the electronic data of its customers doesn't stay in business very long) Edited on 14 May 2010 at 09:58:18 |

Let the invisible hand of capitalism slap them awake as paying members leave. I renew in june, but i also am looking for a mac friendly site to play live chess. If anyone has suggestions, by all means post them.... thank you for letting me vent... |

But at least they're consistent about ignoring everything - including whether or not anyone is still paying. |

Someone up to foul play would surely enter their victim into more than 1 tournament, and would not have passed up the chance to fill a sole remaining spot in class x , thus denying a member the chance to withdraw. I still think it is a glitch. This site has several glitches. Not serious glitches, just annoying. Admin seem to have decided that we have to learn to live with them.
