#1. Item I came across yesterday, on the 'Web' -- The U.S. has 71 million unused separate doses, of the 'swine-flu' vaccine.
 
Background & conclusion: Several months ago, when that 'Scare' was faithfully broadcast {including by 'print'}, by the media; I suspected that something 'fishy' was going on!
.. Even a few news outlets at the time {Fox network's "Bill O'Reilly" {TV} show for one}; Had the good sense to report, that even in an average year; About 35,000 Americans die from the 'common flu-virus' {mostly old people 'btw'}; Whom oftentimes, it isn't clear WHAT they died from; "Old age"?!
.. Inducing 'FEAR,' is a known method for getting ones way!; And the more sophisticated variant of this; Was {in retrospect}; Likely initiated by the major American drug companies, {who 'stood-to-profit'}; In conjunction, with our 'bloated' U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services {gov't beauracracy}; In spreading this FEAR. In which the American media, acted as their mostly unquestioning 'lap-dog'!
-- Did we all learn our 'Lesson' from this?! -- I doubt it!; What with Americans, short attention-spans, and given the passage of another 6-to-10 years; It could very well happen again! --Ps.- The cost to the American taxpayer, Had to have been in the hundreds-of-millions; If not more!?

And on a 'lesser note'; What Happened to the 'WIZ' directed; "Live, G/10 Tourney" Results?! -- Though I did not participate; I would think, that from the standpoint, of those who either 'Won' or finished, let's say; In the top-quarter of the standings; Being ignorant, of who won; Plus Not having their efforts acknowledged; Even in a simple posted 'Results' chart; Has to be a 'turnoff'.. of Some dimension! --
 
Ps.-- If I missed Where the result was posted; Or if it was posted, while I was 'bitching' about almost Nothing! {he-he}; Then, I 'stand corrected'!

Th results were posted a day or so after the event, buzzkill, with an analysis from WizardNo1 of the best games .Spud, the champion that he is did not want a fuss made of his glorious effort. Next time you should get up early or stay up late to watch it live or better still , sign up.
