Re: World's Best Football Leagues
Another dreary year for the English premier league. The real excitement is in the lower leagues, and foreign leagues, where genuine competition exists.
In the last 14 years...the English premiership title went to ;
Man Utd...9 times
Arsenal...3 times
Chelsea...2 times.
This year it will be Man U or Chelsea.

PC 31 says we got a dirty one ,
buzzkill stands alone,
posting inappropriate pictures,
oh, oh oh oh.

Rose and Valerie,
ranted from the gallery,
he must not go free
the judge, he did agree
and he told them
so, oh, oh oh.

but as the words were leaving his lips
a voice came from behind...

clang , clang, buzkill's tricky grammar
came down upon his head

scores
and I can't wait for the world cup to start.
USA are in the same group as England.
England are odds on to qualify in top spot, and Slovenia second, Usa third and Algeria bottom.

of course this tip comes from someone who predicted that Bayern would be cannon fodder for Man United in the champions league quarter final.

Re: World's Best Football Leagues
Unless you are a Gillingham Fc supporter like me!!!
5 years in the Championship and our owner decides to pull too much out of the club and the slippery slide commences.
Relegation to league 2 on goal difference hurts.
Still, at least we finally got rid of the idiot manager we've had for the last 3 years!!

Re: World's Best Football Leagues
Being from Keighley in Yorkshire, I was watching Leeds v Bristol in the last game of the season. Leeds had a man sent off and went one nil down by half time. Needing a win for automatic promotion, it looked grim for Leeds. As you would know , Leeds came back in the second half to win 2-1 and went up.
As for Gillingham..yes it is cruel to go go down by 8 goals on goal difference. For me ,Leeds are my second team,in my heart , I am a Liverpool supporter. I loved the way they played in the70's and 80's. This year was a disaster. But there's always next year.

Re: World's Best Football Leagues
Our problem was... we just couldnt win away from home!1 Not once!! At home, we were as strong as it comes. Beat Leeds and Southampton last 2 home games but couldnt get a win at the bottom clubs.
Gotta say, im glad Leeds went up rather than Millwall

With a new manager and hopefully keeping most of our current team, im gonna put money on us going straight back up.
