Yes, I'd be the first to admit {as would most believers}; That ALL of what's contained in the Scriptures, originally started out, as being 'beyond-my-personal-knowledge.'
 
In the same way, that if one goes sufficiently back in our respective lives; None of us, were in a position too say, that "2 + 2 = 4"; Or even know what that meant!
 
Granted, there is some difference between prosaic or 'common' knowledge, and revelatory knowledge, imparted to others; Allegedly{sp?}, through 'Divine Revelation'; Which, from the purely 'humanist,' secular perspective; All alleged "Divine Revelation" not only qualifies as 'crepidarianism'; But furthermore.. among that world-view 'camp'; Would have a decided viewpoint, that Any so-called "Divine revelation," is a pure 'crock' {made-up belief-system}.
 
The essence of this controversy, is further complicated, by the fact that, some-to-many, claimed "Divine Revelations" ARE Phony! .. 'JC' admitted so much; When He said,{to paraphrase}: 'In that day, there shall be many false prophets.'
 
As to how one discerns between the two, {'false' and True prophets/messages}; Is addressed in the Scriptures; But that's another subject.
'In a nutshell'; I would imagine that anyone who holds to a humanist-secular, world-view {as it were}; Would be predisposed to 'lump-in' anyone, who believes in Any believed, Divinely-inspired knowledge; Which is not only the mistake of, 'throwing-out-the-baby-with-the-bathwater'; But more importantly; It arbitrarily deprives God/JC, of the way in which He's chosen to communicate His message! --"For without Faith, {as in, Not directly provable}, it is impossible to please God." {Deal with it!}---'Trolling' for 'The Truth.'
