Reply | 8 Mar 2010, 15:07:47   Proposal, for an 'Honorary' Live Game Award; In All Time-Controls Since any award, that involves paying out money, would raise the membership fee, for everyone; I propose an 'honorary'.. "Close, but No Cigar," 'nominee awards' for any live game played, {in all time-controls}; That has a signifigant, if not 'Huge' differential, in live-ratings; Among any two players, paired against each other. Where the lower-rated player, invaribly puts up a 'hard fight'.. but otherwise, ends up losing. The only other requirement, as I see it; Is that the game last, at Least, 50 moves! Any paid member, may feel free to post their own game, that meets these requirements. .. Talk about an idea, that'll probably 'go, NoWhere! ..-- Ps. If U feel so motivated; Just post your 'nominee' game on the "Chess Analysis" 'bb', {titled: "Close, but No Cigar"}; And to keep it as simple as possible; Rather than an official 'vote tally'... People can make up their own minds, as to the 'winner,' in each 't/c'! |
