Reply | 10 Feb 2010, 18:34:58   Pink Eye My eye is red and it may be because our house is getting all remodeled. This may have caused an irritation in my eye as far as the air is concerned. Has anyone ever had this, can they suggest a remedy? my eye does not itch, and it does not hurt, and my vision is not affected. I think I may have PINK EYE but i dont know for sure.

It is VERY contagious and easily treated. Takes about 4 days for the cream to work. If you are a restaurant worker well, stay home. Optometrist is your next stop. I have been the proud owner of this several times. Edited on 10 Feb 2010 at 18:45:02 |

I didnt know pink eye people couldn't work in food service, i guess it is health department regulations. maybe on account of it being so contagious is part of the reason. Sometime i have a very tine sand grain type of feeling barely noticeable, then other times nothing. I just looked on the web, and they have eyedrops at my local drugstore, and I am wondering if i can take the drops, even if its not pink eye that i really have, but i guess thats a question i can ask the pharmacist.

You also might have to get a release from a doctor to return to work. I have/was everything from bus boy to cook, prep, and dish, wait and general all 'round worker since I was 11. (I will be 66 this April.) I think we both know that business. Edited on 10 Feb 2010 at 19:53:46 |

Reply | 12 Feb 2010, 14:56:45 In reply to RAPTOR Re: Pink Eye raptor, first i feel that no one is going to top your responce to my superbowl inquirey. second the pink eye in my right eye as far as mucus and swelling, it went away the very next day that i mentioned it. the only6 problem i have is that the symptoms are in the right eye now. I have an answer to the problem of why i have the pink eye in the first place. We have a new heater in the house and it is blowing soot in the air because our ducts need cleaning!! I know its blowing soot in the air because the sink in the bathroom is new, and it was all dirty with a black soot substance because the heater is blowing air from ducts that need cleaning!! that means if i dont get the ducts clean, im gonna have pink eye 10 times, after the doctor fixes the problem! i also by the way have been in food service, age 21, dishwashing, busboy on federal hill, even a waiter at a mexican restaurant !, but also compter work also. My other eye is just fine and the redness has gone away a little. But I have bought some drops just an hour ago just in case. at age 52 you can play big brother to me, but that doesnt mean i have to listen to you!!!
