If I erred in guessing the time-frame for this tourney's completion, {based on its format}; Then I stand corrected. But in any event; At one round played per week; Even, if it were to be 9 weeks in length; Or about, one-half the time involved; Would Only seem to make sense, {given the bad 'knock' on withdrawing, in principle}; If we all lived in a world, where death, disease, accidents, bankruptcy, and human ambivalence, were Not factors; Over a period, of months! --

Stop fooling around with this thing and be the last one to join the tourney...c'mmon mate!

With five teams, which we don't quite have yet, entrants would play no more than 4 games in this event, and 5 if a Playoff is necessary. The event will last for four weeks if we can get each team to play two games in one of the weeks, to avoid having a Team Bye in each round. This is a Team event, not an individual tournament, so players play only other players on their boards. Why don't you enter?

you are not playing evry player in the tourney(if I am reading your post right)but 4.Sign up mate 5 teams are better thsan 4 and Wiz why not make it a double round robin where each team plays the other twice with colors reversed.Its not like there is anything else going on here that would interfere with this?

Your suggestion is, as always, a good one, but I can't get a full twenty players when they are only accepting four or five games, so I don't doubling the number would help any.

I have it on 'good authority' that "Caissa," AgentSmith," and "Rasputin"; All would 'love' to play; In this shortly remembered, by most; And, little 'on-the-line' tourney!
 
Even if this/these 'thinking, out-of-the-box' inclusion{s} were to prompt several withdrawals 'in protest'; You'd still {theoretically}, have up to 3 'replacements'! --

Instead of sitting on the sidelines and making snide comments, have you considered that you might get more satisfaction if you actually participated?

 
'Snide comments,' is a matter of opinion; {even if I'm 'outnumbered' in that regard}; And, as to the core part of your question; 1. I've considered it; And, 2. NO!

I played Nova just a couple of times but quite frankly I did not know the guy so I propose as another tribute beside the tourney that you guys who knew him well to tell anything you remember from him so we have the whole concept of why he is been honored in this traditional tourney...
