As many of you know, I am from Los Angeles. I love the Dodgers! And I am picking them to win the World Series, as I do every year. Am I a fool? Tell me how wrong I am. Who is your pick to win it all? But at least I'm not the only one, right El Rey? Tknight (Knight of 101 Years) SnoopDog176 Occupied Palestinian Territory Reply 10 Apr 2009, 16:25:20 Re: Baseball !!! I was born a red sox fan and also became a cardinals fan about 25 years ago. So those are my two that I root for every year. who do I think will win....? It wouldn't surprise me to see Tampa win, the Dodgers have Manny now, so they have to be considered. the Yankees have guys in the rotation that are an injury waiting to happen, and three OLD men, Jeter, Damon, and Rivera,, so we'll see about them. and of course, there is my RED SOX!!! GO RED SOX! SnoopDog176 New Member Occupied Palestinian Territory Reply 13 Apr 2009, 20:02:18 Re: Baseball !!! Wow, BladeRunner, you really ARE old 1975-76 cincinatti reds, the last NL team to repeat as WS champions. 1975, my poor redsox were also a great team and nobody though they would last 6 games against the Big Red Machine in the world series that year. the red sox took them to game 7 and were winning that game before an error by the 2nd basemen opened the flood gates. that's the problem with playing that reds team,,, make just one mistake and POW! they just blow you away. Game six of the 1975 world series was the most exciting game of baseball I ever saw,,, by far. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I intentionally left out, "Bladerunner"s, observations; Which I regarded, as being a 'Cut above'..{minimum}, of the other posters. I Still assert, though; That my 3 point 65, {estimated average, daily 'collective' posts}; Do Not appreciably infringe, on the ability of others, to 'banter,' with each other; So much, as their Own Disinclination, to communicate; With each other; Or, At All!; On this 'bb'! Ps. Maybe, my posts, would be better 'received'; If, in emulating, 'Snoop'; I periodically mentioned, {with 'poetic license'}; 'Then of course, there are my 'Seahawks'! ... G-O... SEAHAWKS'! {Yeah; That's what I call, substantitive, communication!! ...LOL} |
