Has anyone heard about something called the "POSTCARD" ?? It is a fake hallmark postcard that is supposed to "burn" the 0 (zero)sector of a hard drive. Maybe burn is a term for erase or something like that.
 
I didn't think that a virus could actually do any physical damage to hardware. I don't know, my wife sent me the warning a few minutes ago.
