'Memory': Although, admittedly; A number of these Muslim coverts, {or 'near converts'; If there be such a thing}; Do not come right out and say that they encountered "Jesus Christ"; but rather, the abbreviated 'Jesus'; The title..'Christ,' being of Greek origin; Designating a type of Divinity; Who's to say, that it does Not represent a 'first-step' in recognizing Him, for whom He claimed to be!? {rhetorical}
 
Also, Snoop; Why must your comments, be interspersed with racial, or implied ethnic division, comments?! -- If you want to believe or think that 'J.C.' was a 'black' African, {as in, an earlier post of yours}; I suspect that it's more a result of you wanting to appear as an 'independent' thinker; Than from any verifiable evidence; But, be that as it may; 'JC's color of skin, {generally believed to be similar to that of modern-day, 'tanned' "Semites"}, is mostly, besides the point!
 
As for your statement Re. 'American Christians, enlightening' Arab & other Muslims; would that be Less offensive, to your sensibilities; If the prolythesizing was entirely being done by 'natives' of a given area{?}; Which isn't always possible, and-or practical?! {rhetorical}.
 
As I, {& many others, 'see' it}; 'People are people'; and the fact that some groups of people are periodically-to-often, 'enlightened' by others of different racial or ethnic backgrounds; Just like the skin color of 'JC,' during his earthly ministry; Is objectively, 'No big deal!'
 
For the record; For the past 30 years or so, the Christian Evangelical 'outreach,' has been going the other way!; IE. Christian missionaries & workers, have been coming from parts of the already 'evangelized' 'Third' & 'Fourth' worlds, to minister to the multitudes of European & American, 'white' heathen!!; It's sort of counterintuitive, but nevertheless true!; Nor do I view that, as a case of reverse racial or ethnic 'one upsmanship'; Since, erroneously perceived, ethnic or racial superiority, as regards 'enlightenment'; Is Always, a case.. of where an Individual Person.. {my emphasis} 'Is At,'!, if you will.

I mentioned it to show that - although christians believe that we humans were made in god's image, the exact opposite happens to be true,, man fashioned god/jesus out of our own image, and when I say "our", I mean WHITE chritian leaders,, our LEADERS did this. Still trust them? I don't.
 
And what verification do you need? there were no european jews at the time of jesus, only sephardic jews of the Levant and surrounding area. The sephardic Jews very closely resemble ethiopian people, very dark, black skin. that's IT. no other jews that jesus could be. and sephardic jews still exist in that area, of course. google them up, you'll see.
 
so this exposes the christian people - or LEADERS, anyway, of racist surpemacy and hypocracy. and this is VERY important to me or anyone else that is falling to the christian leaders' persuasions. I consider the sourece very carefully.
 
This is why I have said in here many times before, I refuse to take anything for granted from other PEOPLE when it comes to learning about god, because the christian speakers are proven to be untrustworthy. Sorry if that disappoints you, but it is true.
 
Also, because god is truly NOT made in our iamge, that is why I do not necessarily think that god works on "emotions' as we his human creations do, and therefor it would be impossible to try and "figure out" what god is up to, or if he truly wants us to love him, fall on the ground and kiss his feet, or if he will threaten us with eternal damnation if we "upset" him. These things are only demonstrations of human emotions, and sorry, it has never been shown that that is how god operates, not at all.
 
Maybe that is why he won't talk to us, and show us his "love".

Apparently, it was enough of a "big deal" for white supremist christians in the early going to change his skin color everywhere that you see depictions of jesus. if it really IS no big deal, let them change it to reflect reality. but you and I both know they won't.
 
"Little" things like this mean a lot to me when being asked to "TRUST" these people to tell me about "God" and/or "Jesus"

'Snoop,' If you want to remain a perpetual 'hard-core' skeptic, based on your Own preconceived ideas, about what {supposedly} 'Really Matters'; Then that {obviously}, is your own decision; since God/'JC' respects our free will!
 
I have reason to believe though; That if you were to voice your same reservations, {although, they seem to be, more like virtual, 20-foot high 'roadblocks'!}, to these same Muslims, who've had visions, dreams, plus their own individual testimonies; Re. healing, etc. vis-a-vis, 'JC'; They would First probably wonder,'where you're coming from'{?!}; aside from the fact, that you first want your own prioritized questions answered; which Still, I maintain, 'miss the point'!
 
Man, is an imperfect being; even After one becomes a 'born-again' {Christian} believer! -- In a way, I'm surprised that you 'singled out' white missionaries, & western church elders, going way back; For their implied, 'Big Mistake,' in your own mind; Re. portraying Jesus, as 'pale' caucasian!? .. Why not single out, as your big 'impediment' to conversion, the dozens of 'Catholic' priest pedophiles, that have been 'discovered' over the years; Which leaves out, all the undiscovered, or not sufficiently proven cases!; plus, that doesn't even address the cases of.. let's say, Catholic or Protestant, heterosexual 'cheating.'!
 
Both I, and others, would submit.. that if you're waiting for all Christian ministers & workers engaged in the same prolythesizing ministries, to First get their Own 'act' together; Before you make any decision-based move; Then your 'wait' will Never end; Simply because your 'Faith,' {what little there is of it, at this point}, is misplaced!
 
Even the Apostle Paul said, to other Christians; "Follow me, as I follow Christ"; thereby setting up 'J.C.' as the ultimate, literal 'standard bearer'; Rather than himself!
 
Incidentally, those Christian ministers, & workers who have 'Truly Sinned,' will be accountable to God/'JC' in their Own time!; And, sorry to disappoint you, 'Snoop,'; But, I'm Not referring to people like "Michaelangelo"{sp?}, etc. etc., who, to your mind, 'sinned' by portraying Jesus as a 'white man'! {ridiculous!}
 
Ps. There's also an overlooked by many, spiritual component, to ones unbelief; Even outright animosity!, {as recently seen on this 'bb'!}; The degree of animosity & unbelief, I {& others} would suggest, that is Only possible, as a result of.. this aforementioned, "spiritual- component"!

very simple. those people are not performing god's work and nobody says differently nor does anyone expect me to believe them about anything. all one has to do (say, you) is say that these people are not worthy of the cloth, they are sinners. we agree. nothing gained there.
 
whereas I look at the very roots of the christian movement, and show that the biass was so bad, they were so ashamed of jesus' black skin, they painted him white! that says an aweful lot about the people that are supposedly only relaying god's word. it says a LOT for the very founders of christianity.
 
IF THE FOUNDERS CAN CHANGE JESUS' SKIN COLOR TO GET IT THE WAY THEY WANT, WHAT CAN STOP THEM FROM CHANGING JESUS' WORD - AGAIN, TO GET IT THE WAY THEY WANT?

I have said before, if god has not contacted man by now to "clear the air", he is not going to. and that alone paints a certain picture of god, not a "loving" god as one may hope but a mysterious god that NOBODY knows anything about or even has the slightest inkling of.
 
 
I did not say he sinned or they sinned, per sa, what is important is what they did was tip their hand,, to show who they really are and assuredly, what god is NOT. If humanity has to make up god's appearances on earth, than that means god did not really visit, in the first place.
In my world, everything written down about god is MADE UP by man, just as the story that he had white skin while on earth. that is the way it looks to me.
 
 
 
wel, you can call "my group" what you want, I am not looking for followers. All I know is, whether people decide to take my side of things or not, I will continue to look at things with a disecting, suspicious mind and not be some wayward lamb that takes a mere human's word for ANYTHING.
