Over the years, and on an irregular basis at that; I've typed out one or more sentences on this online translator, in English, for translation, let's say.. into French; and when I translate those same exact, translated French words, back into English; my experience has been that it will re-translate back, more often than not, a little 'mangled' in meaning, at best!
 
Anyway, research into translating multiple languages into other multiple languages, so as to return 'smoother' results, is a '24/7' {round-the-clock} endeavor, worldwide!
 
For those interested in keeping up, with this mostly 'below-the-radar' {semi-obscure}, news topic; merely type-in: language translation; or even, 'language,' on either the 'Google' 'blog' search-engine, the 'Google' 'News' {page} search-engine; or, for 'info' of a more generalized nature; then 'google'; language translation, on the main 'Google' search-engine.
 
To be fair, there Are Other search-engines 'out-there'!; where the same principle or instructions, apply!..{ie. 'YahooSearch,' 'MSN Search,' 'Kewl,' and God knows how many others{!?}..
