Reply | 19 Sep 2008, 15:34:31   listening to music while playing chess i like to listen to music, while playing chess,but all while the music is playing, I have to hear that thud noise that tells me my opponent just moved. What I would like to know is if there is a member who listens to music while plaing chess, and if they know how to erase that noise that comes every time your opponent moves. i listen to utube music, any responces would be appreciated. Thanks!

In my own case, for doing that, on my "acer-windows" 'pc'; I press down the "Fn" key, {I never even looked up, what "Fn" stands for?!}, while simultaneously tapping the volume-control-key, several times.

Reply | 19 Sep 2008, 23:08:37 In reply to MemoryUnchained Re: listening to music while playing chess i think i only play chess to music. i usually lose while searching for good music to play...all my speed games are played to mp3 libraries on my computer - house music until i get drinking...then i go to 70's rock, then after really drinking, down to country music. :P, then the staccato brain waves go into coma mode and i play a little loopy :P i use winamp still. the volume with that seems to be independent of the volume from the web-apps, so it's ok. try that maybe. should work. |
