Your Scriptural "ashes-to-ashes" reference, refers to the our physical beings; as for our energy component, which animates our physical selves, {logically, electricity, in a soul-specific form}; and as I've mentioned before, it's been proven by science, {lest you think it's merely my opinion}, that there is No destroying of energy; which in a karmic/Bible sense, that which animates our bodies, lives on!

..Plus, you may've heard the Scriptural alluded-to statement, Re. this, that, we are All spiritual-beings, living out a temporary, human {physical} experience.

As for your second point; Every "character" contributes or adds to, the human experience; including, negatively... but for the great majority of us, it's a 'mixed bag' of positive & negative contributions, {as pertains to our personalities}.

Keep in mind, that it's the infamous and average individuals {collectively people}, of the world, that make the "Mother Teresas"' and Albert Schweitzers' stand out!

Since we All contribute for better or worse, {or somewhere inbetween}, in the here-and-now; I dare say, that humanity will Always {as in, eternally} have reason for the 'Less-than-sterling' people existing; if for No other reason, than it makes the Truly outstanding among us, {of which, I'm Not one of}, seem that much more remarkable!

In a semi-metaphorical sense, what would be so remarkable, about an exquisitely beautiful scene, book, music or even specific person, and-or personality, etc., if you didn't have their noticeably inferior counterparts, of such!
