Re: Official Kere's Attack MOT Kabitzing Thread
OK, I'll start another thread on the MOT BB posting the rules and for signing up, we'll see what happens. It'll have to wait until I get home from work tonight, my first day back to work after a four week vacation...

If they can't find it by now they aren't looking hard enough. Besides, this is a guinea pig game, it might be better if it's kept small.

Re: Official Poisoned Pawn variation, SD, MOT Kabitzing Thread
If you have not received a personal copy of this letter to commence,, here it is! It is time we BEGIN the tournament!!
----------------------------------------------------------

From SnoopDog176 – Sunday October 12, 2008

Hello,
Welcome into the Member Organized, Poisoned Pawn Variation of the Sicilian Defense Theme Tournament, commencing October 15, 2008, or any time upon receipt of this message.
If you are not sure of the parameters of this correspondence THEME tournament, please read:
All participants will play two games with every participant, one as white, and one as black. All games will begin with the following move sequence, the very moves that constitute this tournament’s theme:
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cd 4. Nd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 a6 6. Bg5 e6 7. f4 Qb6 8. Qd2 Qxb2
And this is a list of all of the participants of this tournament that you must engage:
1. SnoopDog176, 2. Gladiator, 3. TrencherKnight, 4. DualSpace, 5. KingsFull, 6. ElRey, 7. Spud,
8. Yaman, 9. Power, 10. RAPTOR, 11. wanna2008, 12. Darx, 13. NevadaMaster, 14. Grevillea, 15.EELDROP, 16. Grim, 17. Smjg, 18. NathanB
Please, before making any challenges, make sure you accept any existing challenges to avoid duplicate entries. And if you get a challenge from a player that you have already challenged, simply email that player to let him know that the challenges already exist for him and he is to accept them.
If any player has challenges that go UNACCEPTED for any length of time, please notify me and I will contact the player to try to expedite the acceptance of the challenge. There is no set timeframe before a forfeit is declared. I will determine that as the circumstances dictate.
If any player plays OUTSIDE these opening moves, the game is null and void as far as this tournament is concerned, and it is up to the players as how to handle the unwanted game. Remember,,, this is a MEMBER organized event. I, as tournament director, have no way to see games in progress, so as to adjudicate arguments. And in the end, any result that the two players agree to, I will accept.
Complete instructions on how to challenge an opponent and how to use the “IF-THEN” feature have been sent to you already in the flyer mailed by AdminBrian. Or, see the first post of this tournament’s thread in the Member Organized Tournament bulletin board for a copy of the procedures.
Also, as a reminder,, the WINNER reports results. And in case of a draw, the WHITE Player reports. Reporting results in a timely fashion is appreciated. Also, if you wish to send along the whole score of the game by copy-pasting it from your scorebook that will be Ok, too. (not mandatory)
The complete cross table, along with selected games, is kept in the – “Poisoned Pawn Variation - Correspondence Theme Tourney Thread” in the MOT bulletin. You may want to check that on occasion to make sure your results have been duly entered.

Good luck and good chess,, , SnoopDog176, TD

Re: Official Poisoned Pawn variation, SD, MOT Kabitzing Thread

We are off and running,, I have received my challeneges from three players already.

Chess quiz: 19 people, playing 2 games against eachother., How many total games?

I get 289 games,, is that right?

if so,, I think I am going to have to get "selective" as to which games get put into the thread.

Like Wikipedia says,.,,, "CITATION NEEDED"

Well, maybe you need to go back to Boston, perhaps then you would have notice the leap frog game hasn't officially started yet and SouthernComfort couldn't have missed a move before it does officially start.

And just in case you don't know, the clock starts ticking tonight at 1:00 am Central, or 06:00 UTC

And our tourney is pretty much running,,, a couple of folks that I know will be there.

Re: Official Poisoned Pawn variation, SD, MOT Kabitzing Thread

Don't forget now,,,, help me keep the crosstable corrct.

One line in the subject box,,, WinPlayer - LosePlayer 1-0,, or LosePlayer - WinPlayer 0-1,,, and reported by the wining player is all I should want from the winning player. please do not report a LOSS.

Overall, I think the tourney has started out good.

RAPTOR got two wins already,,, WITHOUT cooking his opponent!
