This week's puzzle
and I found this to be more amusing than it should have been. It worries me that I laughed so much. It concerns the Top Gear tv show from the BBC. This is a show about cars; in particular fast cars, and occasionally, very slow ones. Most of all, it is hilarious. So Clarkson, Hammond and May entered their car in a 24 hour endurance event. What follows, at least to Americans, is hard to believe, but the BBC does not have adverts.Paradise. However this meant that the race car could not have any sponsors signs painted on it. So, they invented their own sponsors. On one side was Larsen's Biscuits, and on the other was Peniston's oils. Now at least it looked like a race car. Even though as all the other cars were on the grid, the Top Gear car was still in the pits being repaired. [ you tube it on top gear 24 hours, superb tv].So why did this amuse me?, it might help to know that they didn't have enough room left to fit on Scunthorpe's Building and Electrical Supplies.
