Re: Jerusalem, foreseen, as "a burden stone" to the World {and, related issues}
'Snoop,' I suspect that had you paid more attention.. and-or read, with a more 'open' mind, to the link I had copied & pasted, at the very beginning of this thread, that you wouldn't be asking the same questions, that the Bible-referenced answers, are Too anti-thetical {opposed} to your own pre-conceived and indoctrinated mindset!

Incidentally, I do Not expect to bring yourself, or many others around to what I perceive to be the Truth, on this matter; and on that basis, {including, that it's Not anymore a profitable use of my {waking-hour} limited time}, I'm no longer.. after this 'parting-shot' finale, going to entertain questions on this topic.

..But since you Did ask, {'Snoop'} 'Show me where in the Bible, that God said He will cause {the 'House of'} Israel to {one-day} 'return to its {ancient, deeded-by-God} land'.. {or words to that effect}; I'll cite, as merely one of several passages, the following passage, {Jeremiah 16: 14-15}.. 14 "However, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when men will no longer say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,' 15 but they will say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' "For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers."

If the preceding, {excerpted, from my original link}, isn't God speaking , {albeit, in written inspired form}, in the 'First Person'; then, I and many others, must have been {long ago} 'dozing-off' in class, when the part about what constitutes a "first person" literary reference, was being taught!? ..N-O-T!! {so}.

..And as to your musings about what I would think if "Tel-Aviv" were 'nuked,' and if that happened, wouldn't I have to concede that it was done with God/'JC's approval{?!}.. My take, for the record, is; yes, it obviously might happen; but speaking for myself, I make a distinction between God permitting something to happen, and looking on some negative event{s} with His "approval."

Speaking of the misusage of certain words, {which we're Both now 'guilty' of}, I'm taking back my reference to All the bad news Re. this whole Mid-east situation being done at God/'JC's "behest".. which was a rather gross overstatement, which unfortunately, I didn't 'catch' beforehand!

..I realize that it's a losing proposition trying to convince you that I Don't rejoice in the sufferings of the Palestinians, any more than God does, {which is Zero/zilch!}; probably, in the same way that you'd have a hard time convincing me, 'Snoop,' that whenever Israeli civilians are blown-to-'smithereens' in a civilian-setting {naturally}, that there isn't a part of your psyche, {upon hearing of such news}, that isn't privately rejoicing{!?}.. 'And never the twain, shall meet'{!}
