John McCain-foreign policy expert
It has been widely reported that John McCain continues to refer to the country of Czechoslovakia in his discussions of contemporary foreign policy, even though that country ceased to exist in 1993.

Before that, he discussed possible reasons for censuring (attacking) Iran, one reason being that Iran harbors Al Qaeda. Unfortunately, Al Qaeda is a Sunni organization and Iran is a Shiite country. Anyone with a basic knowledge of foreign policy would know that and would know that Al Qaeda and Iran could NEVER be allies.

Today, foreign policy expert McCain discussed the situation in Afghanistan and highlighted the difficulty of controlling the lawless areas along the border of Iraq and Pakistan.

Unfortunately, Iraq and Pakistan do not share a border.

Oh sweet Jesus in heaven if you have any mercy on the people of the United States you will not let this man become President.

Re: John McCain-foreign policy expert

Now let me see,,,,

If I recall, the CIA and Bush admin said that Iraq had an al-qaeda training base in northern Iraq. the problem is, norhtern Iraq is where the Kurds are, adn Iraq stayed quite clear of them except when they wanted to obliverate them. And the Kurds, of course, are enemies with Iraq as they want their independance, and it is possible the training base they referred to in northern Iraq was one set up to help train the PKK fighters, and I do not know if they are Sunni or Shiite but I bet that al-qaeda set up the base for them PKK (if it even existed LOL)

whether people in this country know it or not, Sadaam was a tyrant with religious extremists and he pounded the Shiites in the south. his government was sectarian and anyone calling for a theocracy was his natural enemy.

I just wonder if this situation is the same. if al-Qaeda set up a camp to help the PKK in Iraq, why would they not do the same in Iran? of course, Iran is shiite so I would assume the PKK being trained in Iran, if they exist would also be to help fight Iraq Suni and the sectarian government.

unfortunately, because Bush has lied so many times, we the citizens have to think in all possible directions because his word - and McSame's word, are about as reliable as the weatherman's.

Re: John McCain-foreign policy expert
This country has serious problems.
(1) foreign policy- Iraq is a disaster.Rest of the world hates us.Bin Laden is still aroumd
(2) Health care: Barbaric. We are a third world country with how we treat citizens with health problems.
(3) Economy: Worst I have seen in my lifetime.

Solutions:
McCain: more of the same ineffectual stuff we are presently doing

If this country elects McCain than quite frankly we deserve (in spades) the misery we will get. This country is in the worst shape in my lifetime and if we vote to continue the status quo than we deserve the crap that we will surely get.

Re: John McCain-foreign policy expert
Osama bin-Laden still on the prowel....

I just saw a vid clip two days ago on ESPN message boards, and in it, Dick Cheney said that there was no evidence that OBL (or Iraq) was responsible for the 9.11 attacks.

He said that the story of a high ranking al-Qaeda operative meeting with an Iraq intelligence officer in Czekloslovaki (I think) ran cold, and is pretty much debunked, now.

no wonder why they are not persuing the hunt for OBL!

Remember, our whole rationale for going into Afghanistan after 9.11 was to capture OBL, who was hiding out in the mountains of Tora Bora. How soon we forget! a couple of years later, the CIA announces that OBL was now hiding out in the mountians of Western Pakistan, yet our troops deployed in Afghanistan did not budge one inch, and to this day, remain in Afghanistan fighting some serioulsy ferrocious windmills,,,, I guess??? nobody seems to know what the hell we are doing there, nor sadly, do they even care. must be some serious schizzle, I'm sure [EYES ROLL]

PS: Yaman, if you want the link to that vid, I will go back and find it.
very chilling to hear that from cheney.
