Re: EURO 2008
Euro 2008, is not the latest foreign exchange rate against the dollar, but a comp between the national teams of the best European football nations. Just in passing, England was not one of them. Neither was the USA, but only due to tectonic plate movement, which cruelly moved them across the Atlantic, a few years back. So, now we are down to the last 4 teams. Germany v Turkey, and Spain v Russia. The German game is the more interesting. Football in Germany is an obsession, due to the national belief that they are the best in the world. This fervor has not been dampened at all, by a series of dismal failures in all the major comps within living memory. But Turkey are the underdogs, and I expect and hope that Germany will win this game and go through to the final.

Re: EURO 2008
Arshavin owns EURO 2008 this far.
Sweden played the best game for years, still they were beaten
by the Russians 2-0. The game made me happy despite the defeat.
It's great to see football played that way.

Re: EURO 2008
As good as Arshavin is, Russia can thank Gus Hidinnk for their success. He is a great coach. I think Spain will beat Russia [ Torres is one of my favourite players]. Are you really on Christmas Island? For those who don't know, Christmas Island is a long way off the coast of Australia..pop 1500, with a 100 million crabs. The robots beat Turkey ,3-2.

Re: EURO 2008
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game, i will have to record it though...grrr....happy germany won over turkey. just the way it is for me as i don't care for turkey's historical treatment of armenians. russia and spain should be great. not sure who to go for but spain looks pretty dynamic.

Re: EURO 2008
Quite an interesting combination of talent, chemistry and creativity by the Spanish. We will see on Sunday if they have the heart and ambition to go all the way.

PS. Forget about Villa and Torres--Fabregas drives that team.
