.. I know it can be researched on the 'Web'; but perhaps this time, someone who decides to assign this a higher priority than 'Yours Truly,' can find out a reliable answer, as to why the electric car of the early 20th-century, went the {proverbial} 'way' of the {extinct} "dodo" bird, for the longest time!?
 
..I hesitate to think where we might all be now, {other than probably, mostly 'better off'}, had they not {apparently} shelved the technology {in terms of, advances in electric-battery, efficiency}.. during the many decades the electric car, virtually disappeared from the scene!?
