Greater news than the great news.
I was up at 5am today to watch the quarter finals of the champions league. This football event is second to the World cup in importance. The game was Liverpool v Arsenal. If there is one thing I'd like to do...it's to go to a Liverpool game. They have a tradition and history of fabulous , emotional games at their home ground of Anfield, in front of the world's best supporters...The Kop. Anfield is an intimidating place for visiting teams...the atmosphere is electric, the noise, the sheer passion from the supporters often cited as the main reason for defeats. It's like having an extra man on the field. But Arsenal came into this game as favorites, they played brilliant football all year.On paper...a much better team than Liverpool. And so , for half an hour, Arsenal were much the better side and took the lead, 1-0. In these fiercely contested games, that would usually be enough to win the game. But Liverpool equalized. Anfield erupted. I erupted.Football does that to you, like no other sport. Then with 15 minutes left, brilliant goal from Liverpool and it was 2-1. I went for a sedative.I could not watch the last 15 minutes...too tense...just wanted to hear the referee blow the full time whistle. So I turned down the volume on the telly, put a sticker on the screen, to cover up the score, and left the room. Fifteen minutes later , I returned and slowly peeled the sticker off the screen. There was still a minute left in the game.I can stand that. IF it was still 2-1, then Liverpool would surely hold on. IF Arsenal had made it 2-2, the Arsenal would win as away goals count double in the event of a draw. It was a sickening sight to find that Arsenal had indeed scored a second goal. ****, ****, ****, was more or less my reaction. Further peeling revealed that Liverpool had scored a third goal...unbelievable. Then with half a minute left as Arsenal threw everyone into attack, Liverpool scored again. A stunning , stunning night.Wish I was there.

Re: Greater news than the great news.
..He-he.. I watched over two minutes of your video, and
observed all that prolonged unrestrained emotion and joy,
by literally, tens-of-thousands of people; as a result
of one team's 'teamwork' scoring a "goal" at one end of
the field; where else!?

.. Am I missing something here?! ..Because the crowd's re-
action was Both deafening And prolonged{!?}.. Yet, it's
Not as if someone had just invented 'sliced bread'; much
less, was it a result of just having landed a man on Mars!!?

.. On the other hand, I don't doubt that this 'Great {largely
imagined} success'.. Will enable Many, to temporarily forget
the 'human condition'{!}.. of which, the human-aging-process,
in concert with, our almost inevitable declining health, and
{for many} eventual institutionalization, is my own 'Big-
Turnoff'!! 0:

You watched 2 minutes ? ! I did not watch any of Hugh Ross. And no , you're not missing anything....you don't like sport...it's a choice. Can't understand why you would reply to my previous post. Can't understand your third paragraph either. Rewrite in English , please. I'll be up at 4-30 tomorrow for the next two games. Heaven.
