Farewell...at least for now
Parting is indeed such sweet sorrow as my last game at Caissa has ended. I'd been straddling the fence for the past 6 mos. or so playing games on both Caissa and Chess.com. Since my membership will be expiring at the end of April 2008, I've been toiling as to whether I will continue my membership here or move to Chess.com. However, my final decision (ultimately) was to move to Chess.com.

I do applaud all of my fellow Caissans. You are among the most seasoned and strongest players I've ever encountered since first registering as Agape32 three years ago. Back then, I only knew the mechanics of the game but not the art. Since then, I have noticed significant growth in my style of play, and I owe it all to you! Each loss was definitely a learning experience for me. You (literally) did not give up anything, which challenged me to push even harder to develop a stronger game.

Navigating Chess.com and its other functions is still taking some getting used to; but hopefully, I will run into some of you over there from time to time. Fortunately, I was able to keep my same handle. I'm not sure if some of these people are still members at Caissa, but I want to offer a personal thanks to those like patterson (my big brother/mentor on the site), REM, TheBlackKnight, kinemor, Hawkeye (definitely), ElRey, spmarq1, csperber, bucman131, whoodooman, and any others I may have overlooked for influencing my games in such a profound way. And also, thank you AdminBrian and the other admins for all of your hard work in making Caissa an even better site. One thing that is inevitable is change. It's not without its share of drawbacks, but it is a good thing! I knew all along that Caissa would survive the transition it underwent, and it will continue to rebound.

I only say farewell for now, because I may eventually return after an appointed time. In either case, happy playing and cheers!

Warm regards,
