Less Than Zero
..Duh, Aside from the 'not-so-great' movie of some years back,
starring Robert Downey Jr., wouldn't another example be, "-2"{?!}

{I thought that this under-used 'BB' could benefit from your
'run-of-the-mill'..if less often seen, 'dumbed-down' posts!}

Re: Less Than Zero
book was 10x better, sick, dark, and reflective of decadent rich youth culure. I'll never forget the kids party at the end where they break that poor bat's wings and back, and some kid went off for a fork to torture the thing while the kids were keeping the poor creature there, getting excited about the torturing while the bat lay screaming.

the book makes you think people are sick, lost, messed up, sadistic. maybe bret easton ellis was using this kind of writing as therapy...my take is a lot of people are lost, messed up, missed their chance, or way...but i also think bret easton ellis is playing a game with us, getting out his sick fantasies while 'delivering a lesson'.

Re: Less Than Zero
absolutely not. Zero is as low as you can get. You can not get less than zero.Not even if you give it 110%. Though , this does not stop people from trying, especially mathematicians, and especially if there is an x or a y involved. Of course it gets worse if either x or y are squared,eg, x squared - y squared = -5 in which case just write as your solution ..Jesus, and if they want to know why; just say you saw it on the church wall...Jesus is the answer. But technically, you can get below zero, if you are talking temperature, however this does not get you off the hook as there were no weather forecasts or thermometers in the film.

Re: Less Than Zero
you can always get below zero. that's what overdraft accounts are for :P. But in life, I guess less than zero would mean you're living above ground but you should be under it, but you're still alive.
