Fischer

No matter how smart we are, how famous we are, how rich we are, how powerful we are, TIME; will take it all away from us.

Does any one have a solution for this?

Re: Fischer
It pays to be dumb, infamous,poor and powerless. That is the best news that Gamma has had all year [even if it is only January].

Re: Fischer
Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful:
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
matthew 5:3-10 - Jesus

..Now That was a 'No Brainer'!; casting my 'lot' with 'JC', rather
than some Australian atheist 'bloke,' who apparently loves/appreciates
nature, without 'giving credit, where credit is due'{!?}

..Then again, if I seem foolish to "grivillea" {among others}, All
things considered.. that doesn't count for a fraction of a 'hill-
of-beans.' {nothing personal, mind you; since we're each/all rep-
resenting our different 'world-views' the best we know how.. I
would think!

Some world views are much narrower than others.

Re: Fischer
..Wow! Once again, an 'observation' of one of the 'Bible-debunkers'
{meant as a criticism}, was preceded by what 'JC' Himself stated;
circa, 2900-plus years earlier, when He was merely 'telling-it-like-
it-IS!!

Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. {14} For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."

{'gamma's' comment: Thank God that once we become 'born-again believers,'
we're 'Saved' by {God's} grace; and Not..{to the degree that 'IBIJ' would have
us believe}, by "our-works"; as in the implied: 'Woe unto those who Don't
'observe' the 'Sabbath'; otherwise, I'd imagine that this "gate" would be so
"narrow," that Not many more than the 'chosen' 144,000 people of ancient Israel,
would 'make it through'!}

There
were not many that could hit the bullseye consistantly. But sometimes its fun to try . After awhile most of us just belly up to the bar and have a few beers and enjoy each others company.

Re: Fischer
come on that's after 9 months detention in japan, no? didn't know the story about his mother though. so interestingly enough he's the child of a nuclear physicist and a raving communist. what an explosive combo! seriously though, he died at 64 in the city where he won the world championship, so that's a nice finish i guess.
