tennis latest
In one of Gamma's posts, he claims to have a fired a shot across the bow, in the direction of someone who posts brief sporting comments. I can't imagine who Gamma had in his sights ; apparently the post has been withdrawn. If only Gamma's father had withdrawn it , too. In the unlikely event , he was aiming at me, all I can say is that the tennis has been so thrilling ,tense, and astonishing, that I could not capture it in words. You had to be there. However, I'll give it a crack. We are now down to the finals. Nadal never recovered from signing the bra, and went out in straight sets, but at least he got his hands on a cup. Federer came out in sympathy. I have never seen Fed make so many unforced errors. I put it down to the new playing surface which was very abrasive on the balls, causing them to fluff up and become heavy through the air. Fed is not a spent force...Djokovic had to play at his limit to win. Over to the women and the final is underway as I type. Sharapova is wearing a short white skirt with matching pink underwear. She is putting on a classy display, especially when there is a gust, or when she bends over. Her tennis is not bad either...she took the first set.I would like to see Ivanovic win, though. Back to the men's final...and can Djokovic beat Tappeditovadanet? I would say not. Mainly because Djokovic is playing against Tsonga instead. Who is Tsonga? Watch out for this guy. He is unseeded, but he can play. Finally for all those of you shivering in the Northern hemisphere, it is a very pleasant summer's day down in Australia..it is also Australia day...a commemoration of the day when Europeans first settled the country, and being a public holiday, one of those days when you don't have to ring in sick.
