Reply | 19 Jan 2008, 14:28:41   Intelligent Design, Creationism, & Evolution Intelligent Design, Creationism, & Evolution are all part of the formula for me being here in the now. I don't understand what the argument is about. Take any part of the formula away and it would be incomplete.I would still be just an idea. Now I am wondering how much my taking this position affects my chess score. I don't seem to be able to get above 1300. Grandpa13 |

My father had sex with my mother and I was born and from that point I evolved into the person I am today. My family history got wet on Noahs boat so we couldn't read it. But Noah said as far as he knew there were no apes in my family. As far as I am concerned God disigned and created the universe and all the necessary elements to evolve into our world and to where we are today. He probable did it in six million year days, and rested on the seventh. He had a seven million year week that week. This is pretty far fetched but I am probable just as close as the rest of the speculators. |

And there was evening, and there was morningā014the first day. ... And there was evening, and there was morningā014the second day. ... And there was evening, and there was morningā014the third day. These verse are all in Genesis thru to the seventh day when God rested. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. Genesis 2:2-3 Why can't man simply believe what God's Word says rather than always attempting to put their own spin upon the equation. That, my friend, will always be a mystery to me. Besides... if these were million's or billion's of years then that wuld make for one extremely long day, would it not? Cheers IBIJ |

Reply | 20 Jan 2008, 14:48:00 In reply to grandpa13 Re: Intelligent Design, Creationism, & Evolution Hi GP Actually it's not "closed", but I will admit it certainly is focused on believing God's Word rather than man's notions which could make it appear closed. Unlike the bodiless spirit that never got to Heaven all you would have to prove here is that within a million years there is only one "evening/morning" and I would gladly concur. However, without that information provided I would have to ponder upon exactly who's mind is closed or open to simply accepting the things of God as they are put forth from the Word of God. A person has to have a lot of conceit to believe he can explain what a writer wrote two or three thousand years ago in a completely different lanuage. grandp13 |
