I much prefer this type of dance to classical ballet. Each to their own, though. And if you liked neither, then try this one. It is not a dance in the strict sense, nor in a loose sense. In fact it is not a dance at all.But it is a story set to music, so it is a kind of dance. It is the story of the drummer in the orchestra , playing Ravel's Bolero. He is bored, has a stiff neck and back, has indigestion, and would rather be somewhere else. He is just going through the repetitive motions. At first he does not see the camera, nor does he care, until something happens which cures all his problems. At the end he eagerly leaps to his feet to accept the audience's applause.
